Common Questions and Answers about Eric whitacre sleep band recording

sleep

Avatar m tn t heard of them, I definitely recommend at least checking them out. While they are an actual band rather than a peaceful recording, their music is all instrumental, and it's so very soothing. I have horrible insomnia, but they can actually help with it more effectively than any other background music I've played. Lemme know what you think about em(: PS. Some starter songs: -Birth and Death of a Day -First Breath After Coman -Your Hand in Mine (but really, they're all pretty snazzy!
220090 tn?1379167187 In 2003, The Allman Brothers Band released a recording of their festival opening and closing performances, Live at the Atlanta International Pop Festival: July 3 & 5, 1970. Like I said, a few months before Hendrix died. 3. You were right about 1970. "Two otta three ain't bad" as Meatloaf once said in a song. My memory is better than I thought.
Avatar f tn My favorite is music from the "big band era" the 1940's, I also love big band jazz and easy listening. I like Glenn Miller Stan Kenton Maynard Ferguson Buddy Rich Woody Herman LOL, I imagine you have not heard of them, but, trust me, they are terrific.
Avatar m tn I recently discovered I've been having brief (1-5 minute) sleep interruptions frequently while sleeping when I checked my apple watch's sleep recording feature. This has been consistent for months. I've been suffering from intense fatigue, body aches, brain fog, and muscle twitches. How accurate is the apple watch sensor? Is this sleep apnea? I don't snore or have any respiratory issues, and I don't usually wake up with a headache, just super groggy and disoriented.
Avatar f tn So when I sleep I like to switch sides. Lately when I do I feel pain in my stomach. Its hard to describe but it leaves me moaning til the pain goes away. I thought maybe if I don't eat and drink before bed then it wouldn't happen. I have yet to test that theory lol. Should I be concerned?
225237 tn?1333138999 A good additional test to determine the need for a full medical sleep study is an over night recording oximeter test...records the oxygen saturation level of the blood every few seconds. It should read in the high 90s % 95% is considered a very good minimum.. all reading that or higher. I did a spot check myself with a $30 finger clip on oximeter, but I had symptoms, I would wake up feeling like I was suffocating.
Avatar n tn Another partial effort could be to have a recording oxygen monitor for a few nights (usually a finger clip or wrist band) to see if there are any oxygen drops when you sleep. While these are not inclusive or conclusive answers, they may be a more affordable starting point. If you have limb movements during sleep, it's likely a partner would know, unless they are a deep sleeper and/or are always asleep before you. Sometimes the movements involve only the foot and are not real obvious.
612551 tn?1450022175 During sleep, the body cycles between non-REM and REM sleep. Typically, people begin the sleep cycle with a period of non-REM sleep followed by a very short period of REM sleep. Dreams generally occur in the REM stage of sleep. A lot of studies are going on to study the importance of REM sleep, which is the dream phase of sleep. Psychologists generally agree that achieving the dream state of sleep is a critical element for maintaining good mental health.
Avatar m tn A quick way to learn more about you breathing during sleep time, asleep or not, is a recording Oximeter test. This test can (usually I think) done at home. I had one done and it was prescribed and arranged for by my primary care doctor. The test itself was not expensive, so even in the absence of insurance most can afford to have the test done. I think one can have the test done without a prescription, but insurance will require a doctor's prescription I believe.
220090 tn?1379167187 Many people here, including me, suffer from emotional side effects from the drugs we are taking. I am off the tx for 8 weeks now and the demons are still running around my head. I spend a lot of effort looking for ways to dispatch them. I was raised in a family of agnostics with no religious training.
Avatar f tn Check him out also in the band "Cream". White Room " is one of my favorites.
Avatar f tn Hi, Dr Carolyn Dean talks about sleep apnea and Magnesium supplementation . If you google : Magnesium and sleep Apnea. I have family members who also refuses to use CPAP, so they are trying Mg instead. Still at the starting stage. But what I could tell you is that snoring is definitely less.. :) Sleep apnea causes high BP, memory loss, headaches, poor concentration, fatigue and so many more.. So I'd say, give Mg Glycinate a try..
Avatar n tn My husband was recently diagnosed with Sleep Apnea at a sleep clinic. He has suffered from severe, almost debilitating fatigue for many years, never knowing why. He does not snore. It turns out there is a non-snoring type of Sleep Apnea, and not one doctor (of many, MANY!) ever suggested this as a cause for the fatigue and exhaustion. Now he is using a CPAP machine, and adjusting quite well!

Avatar m tn I was conscious but very very very relaxed. The doc said It was common to sleep during the procedure. I was not asked to hold my breath. The Transjugular biopsy is safer than a percutaneous biopsy and a lot less painful.
Avatar m tn Hi Eric , Hang in there , go hour by hour just do it.
Avatar f tn He does think he needs to eat every two hours between midnight and 4am but then he will sleep in 4 hour (sometimes longer) stretches. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL! The wait and pain is totally worth it!!!
4147584 tn?1351546606 Just left doctor, they said they saw an amniotic band and now I'm in full time panic mode . Ftm. Scared to sleep on my side now, because I'm paranoid the baby might get stuck to the band. Help ? What to do ?
Avatar m tn Hi Eric - Your pins and needles could be an MS symptom, or as you point out it may have been from sleeping funny. On occasion one or the other of my hands feel like they are going to sleep. If I shake them or change position the feeling tends to ebb. I wouldn't worry too much about it, but I would mention it to the neurologist on 5/13.
Avatar m tn So a few years back I went for some sleep studies because my GP thought I might have sleep apnea. After a few studies, the doctors said that my Apnea Hypopnea Index (AHI) was 5.31...which is just barely mild sleep apnea. They tried me on a CPAP machine to see if it worked and it made me feel like crap. So I went out and bought an oximeter with a recording function that I wear every few nights.
