Avatar n tn I am 35,I noticed I had erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation for the first time over 10 years ago. It is still almost impossible to have a hard one that can last. Firstly, I was told by doctors then it was probably pschological. It continued and I was given priscription drugs(sildenafil up to 100mg) which worked temporarily and in a lot of instances unsatisfactorily. I have had a partner for 8 years that has been on & off.

Avatar m tn Hello, Masturbation can never cause erectile dysfunction or impotency. The most common psychological problems can generally be related to: inhibited sexual desire, anxiety disorders, depression, mental fatigue, stress, guilt, relationship problems, and lack of interest in sex by partner etc. Another issue could be feeling of guilt about how often you masturbate could be the real issue for the onset of an erectile dysfunction.
Avatar f tn From what you have said it's probably just nervousness.
Avatar m tn Hello, Psychological reasons are one of the important causes of erectile dysfunction. Talk to your partner openly and discuss the relationship issues. Lifestyle choices like excessive smoking, being overweight and avoiding exercise are other possible causes. In such cases quitting smoking, losing excessive weight, and increasing physical activity may help some men regain sexual function.
Avatar m tn But can I suggest you try the same post on one of the sexual or relationship forums here on MedHelp and see what kind of answer they give you. You might find others in the same boat that you are in. There are loads of forums here on MedHelp. I think the only reason I answered your post was because it looked like everybody else was ignoring it. Just the way it can get at times with certain issues. I can't pretend to have the answers you are looking for.
Avatar m tn Have had trouble maintaining erections on and off over the years-mostly after long periods with no partner, but it always turned around after getting comfortable in relationship. Now nothing works. Meds worked for awhile. I think I am like others here except for this, I am a non smoker except when i m. Have been doing it for years. I never, and mean truly never, smoke without m. I like the girl smoking in bed even better than myself.
Avatar m tn In time, I found that I became more comfortable in the relationship and gained pleasure from being a couple and pleasuring each other without worry of performance. Just relax and try to enjoy it, rather than worrying about performance. It may be helpful to talk about it with your partner.
Avatar f tn Erectile disfunction is very common in young adults and is not something you should be feeling this strongly over. There is plenty of information on this forum where you will find good answers to the issue you are facing now. Psychological help is the answer, not suicide. Please be more positive about the situation - it isn't nessecarily something you will have for life. Tension INCREASES Erectile issues, so the more you worry, the worse it is likely to get.
Avatar f tn Hello everyone, I'm dealing with a big issue here. I have been seeing my current girlfriend for a little over a month and we're falling in love together. Just before I met her I was in the process of getting my first real job after college and moving into my new apartment. We've been seeing each other every day and have been having sex a fair amount. I can only recall about 3 times that both of us came with the sex being amazing but lately there have been some issues.
Avatar m tn Hi there, Kidney problems and kidney stones can lead to erectile dysfunction. Only a complete medical evaluation can confirm whether this erectile dysfunction is due to kidney stones or not. Drink plenty of water and take adequate treatment for your kidney stones. This is merely an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination. Hope it helps. Best luck and regards!
Avatar f tn t have a serious medical condition, then you have 2 choices for ED 1) Anxiety 2) Overuse of Internet porn 3) Combo of both The inability to get a full erection with a real-life sexual partner is called copulatory impotence. Chronic erectile dysfunction is a rare problem for men under 40 - or at least it wasn't until Internet porn arrived. So - have you been consistently using Internet porn? If so, the it might be the cause.
Avatar n tn I did that search and found this from the May Clinic - ______________________________________________________________ Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the inability of a man to maintain a firm erection long enough to have sex. Although erectile dysfunction is more common in older men, this common problem can occur at any age. Having trouble maintaining an erection from time to time isn't necessarily a cause for concern.
Avatar m tn Please help! I'm 28 years old and have been masturbating frequently for as long as I remember (13 years), on average I'm guessing at least twice a day sometimes less or more. The problem I am facing over the past (8) years or so it has been very difficult to achieve an erection. I've had weak/soft erections on a regular basis, while mastrubating. I am a Virgin. I am worrying about my post marriage sexual relationship because of this erectile dysfunction.

Avatar m tn Can anyone tell me what kind of questions are normal in a meeting with a doctor about erectile dysfunction? Does the fact that I went to a doctor about erectile dysfunction stay on my medical record? Is it accessible by insurance agencies? And yeah, I can't imagine this new batch of anxiety is going to help with the ED.

Avatar m tn We waited to have sex due to my experience in a previous relationship. When we finally did, we had it very rarely (once every month or two) and always with me initiating it. We have argued countless times about me being upset that we're not having sex and every time he would blame me saying I wasn't doing enough around the house or that I didn't give him time to relax.
