It should only be used in case of life threatening allergic reaction. Epipen is known to be associated with shaking esp. when the larger doses are taken. You should not take more than recommended dose; otherwise you may land up in complication. This is due to stimulation of the muscles. Hence, epipen should be better used under doctor's observation.
If you are allergic to water following measures will help you-
- Stay away from water as long as possible.
- Avoid going in rain outside.

I've been anaphylaxic to tree nuts since I was a kid so have always avoided any kind of nut. Now recently I had a skin ***** test and tested 4+ to all except almonds which I didn't even get a reaction to(!!)...but pine nuts were not included. I was wondering if pine nuts/cedar nuts are included in a tree nut family? Or are they like coconut and other named nuts that aren't actually nuts (doughnuts?) ;) Thank you!
November 2 I had a bowl of clam chowder (eaten many times in my life) and a half hour later I was in anaphylactic shock. I was rushed to emergency, given benedryl and sent home 4 hours later. I got an Epipen for I was told, although rare, that I could have a secondary reaction within the next week. Sure enough November 5 I had a second reaction (bi-phasic reaction). I was given the epipen by my mother for I passed out and couldn't give it myself. Back to the hospital.
Yes, I take Rebif as well and I don't have any injection site problems. I just started 3 weeks ago though. But I take it at night right before I go to sleep. If I do it during the day, I get realllllllly sleepy. Hope everything turns out ok!
I have carried an epipen for the last 11 years for my son and Thank God we have not had to use it. But I was wondering if anyone did have an experience like this and had to use an epipen. Or if you have any information on urticaria pigmentosa? ( I know alot about it but I always would like to know more. Please share any information you may have or experiences you incountered.
My 58 yr old Dad lost the muscle to his thumb in one hand a while back -- maybe 6 months ago. Now, he is losing muscle to the thumb in the other hand. He has pain when he tries to use his thumbs much and they are obviously weaker than they used to be. Any ideas of what this might be? My Dad worries, but he absolutely refuses to go to the doctor....
The concern I have is that she put her thumb in her mouth. There was still blood on her thumb when I grabbed her hand to check (ie there was quite a bit of it and she didn't suck it all off). Not sure how long the blood was on the handle but it was obviously still wet when she touched it. Is there any risk for hiv? Hep c?
Two weeks ago I went to a pot luck supper and went into anaphylaxis. In the ER we tried to figure out what might have caused this serious reaction. At first I thought it was herring since I ate a lot of it and had not eaten it in years however my allergist tested me for all fish and even made a special scratch test for the herring in wine sauce and I had no reaction. He told me to try to track down all the ingredients of everything else I ate.
I was just wondering if ere was a name for this and what keywords I should be searching for in American online pharmacies because I really can't afford a doctor's visit to see what I'm allergic to and I have an epipen from my shellfish allergy.
It's probably a pinched nerve in your thumb, should go away on its own, I am guessing a week or so if you don't use it again. If it does return you could have a sensitive nerve there (I've gotten them on the side of my thumb from barely hitting something).
Were you my brother I'd recommend you not stop playing, but stop that maneuver that puts pressure on the thumb until you can do it pain free.
For some reason I woke up about a week and a half ago and I have had sharp pains in my left hand as well as numbness in the mornings in my hand towards the lower palm of my hand. If I were to guess for myself I would say I have a pinched nerve because I can't move my hand in a particular direction.
If you look at the picture where the arrow is where I experience the pain, it's more to the upper side of my wrist where the thumb meets.
the other day I was with a trans women and was putting my thumb on her anus, I then started to push it in a little, it didn’t get very far before I pulled it away…maybe got the very tip in at the most. I read somewhere on here that it might be a risk for herpes whitlow, is that a real risk and is there anything else I should watch out for.
