Avatar m tn I am just wondering what could cause the thyroid gland to be enlarged but blood test normal? Is there another possible disease or something that I could have causing the thyroid gland to enlarge? My doctor I'm currently going to doesn't seem to think its a thyroid disease anymore but can't answer my question of why my thyroid keeps enlarging.
Avatar m tn this just happened to my daughter as well her tsh level is normal but we also had her thyroidglobulin ab and the anti tpo done and those were extremely high levels which means that something in her system is attacking her thyroid and killing it. her thyroid is also enlarged which they refer to as a goiter. hopefully this can help. and see and endo dr as well.
Avatar f tn enlarged heterogeneous gland is usually referring to the inflamed denser tissue of the thyroid associated with antibodies attacking it. left lobe of the thyroid gland has a small nodule growth. since its smaller than 1 cm, there were no further comments - its not uncommon.
