Is there any percentages how many people would have a positive duo test at 3 weeks (18.5) days? I have rad the New York states duo test is good at 14-15 days. Has anyone else heard this.

the accuracy of the immunoblot is the same as the herpeselect elisa if it's the product by focus. has the same false positive issues as well as the same false negative issues if not enough time has passed. you need to wait 4 months after the last time you had sex for the Wb to be done.

I had been confused about my various conflicting test resuts, i.e. Herpes Select test showed me positive for HSV 2 with scores of: 3.52, 2.01 and 4.29. Western Blot showed me negative on two tests and indeterminate with low level antibody indeterminate for HSV on another. The doctor had me tested using another Elisa test, not Herpes Select but one from ARUP.

hi all, i had unprotected vaginal sex with lady unknown HIV status , after 20 days i took screening test using ELISA methode 4th generation the result is negative , and then on 35 days i took same test but the lab technician told me that he only detect antibody because P24 antigen detected on few weeks after exposure , meaning on 2nd test ( 35 days ) only antibody test but using ELISA 4th gen. any expert can explain how the accurate my test?

Although Hiv DUO test has not been approved by FDA, one can take P24 and Antibody test seperately at the same day which will be the same accuracy with Hiv DUO test. 4th Gen Hiv Tests are conclusive after 6 week according to MAss, NYC, Australia. I think we are passing a timezone in reduction of Window period for HIV just as we had in almost 10 years ago. Window period was 1 year, then 6 month and finaly somewhere 2003, it is 3 month.

In August, I asked my new partner to get a herpes blood test as a precautionary measure. He has never had any symptoms of herpes. His last sexual encounter was early May 2013 –approx. 4 months ago. On 9 August, he took Herpeselect 2 Elisa IgG blood test. He scored negative for HSV I but scored - H.107 for HSV II. Report indicated 01.10. So his result .107 indicated “equivocal”. There were problems at the lab and his HSV II sample was sent to another for re-testing.

It's not intermittent either, it would be indeterminate.
