To stop taking ANY of these meds cold turkey is just an awful idea, and will make the discontinuation syndrome (aka "withdrawal") MUCH much worse. How long has it been since you last took the Effexor?

Fish oil is said to help, but you have a lot of withdrawal symptoms. Assuming you tapered off very slowly and not on some preordained schedule instead of one designed just for how you reacted, it might be time to take a week off and hope this passes if you don't want to go back on the med and try a slower taper.

You suffered withdrawal from missing your Effexor dose. This med should be tapered off of slowly, as should virtually all of these kind of meds. Even tapering slowly you may suffer some withdrawal. It's normal, though uncomfortable. I don't know if there's a generic for Effexor, maybe the doc will know.
