how many million people in South-America do drink tea beverages of yerba-mate? I never ever heard of this ilex paraguayensis tea being toxic or anybody drinking this tea in any form being poisened!!! to the contrary: the yerba mate tee is a health-tea!!!! I wonder by whose interest this tea is proclaimed toxic?? There exists a healing plant in Brasil that actually cures HCV within max.

Also, some will disagree, but I did a couple of things to keep me sane and providing a bit of energy while I made that journey. One was Yerba Mate tea. You can get it at Trader Joes or a health food store. Also I added some liquid gensing and dandilion root extracts to my daily routine. Dandilion root for the relief of water retension and gensing for the added energy it provides. The Yerba Mate tea is a way to gain energy without all the jitters of coffee. Hope this helps.

One of the botanicals listed below, valerian, has been mentioned several times here lately. The "all natural" sleep potion sold on TV ( Alteril ) has valerian as one of its 3 ingredients. It used to be in the original Sleepy Tyme tea from Celestial Seasonings but they took it out years ago.

i have been using a supplement to lose weight with very high protein intake and lots of tea which main ingredient is yerba mate i am hep c positive the last three days my feet, hands ankles legs and spleen are swollen badly is this possible that the herbalife causing this or something else

If I were you I would stock up on a lot of gum with sugar and a lot of carrots. Drink plenty of water and exercise. If all else fails then get one of those nicotene inhalers or if you have the funds available to you go see a hypnotist. P.S. my room mate quit taking Chantix and is still smoking.

Hello everyone, I have acid reflux disease and I cannot take anything which contains caffeine (therefore, no tea, yerba mate and the like), but I am not able to function properly without it. I've got low blood pressure and I need something to keep me awake, since now I feel sleepy all the time, I can't focus and so on. Does anyone here know any substance, pills or whatever which could keep my blood pressure high?

Oh, and i shouldve mentioned Yerba Maté - the guarauna works better with it, but not at 900mgs of gurana - if you take both, the equivalent would be 450/450 - they both contain naturally occuring caffeine (no shakes, no crash in my experience), but STILL caffeine, so same warnings apply. Yerba M. also has a bunch of active compounds ONLY FOUND in Yerba M., so if nothing else has helped with the withdrawal fatigue, this might.

I read on someone else's post that coffee helps with the side effects of tx. But I would think you would need to drink a hugh amount of water because coffee dehydrated you.
