Pilicorpine 1% helps but I do not view it as a long term solution because it affects my contrast sensitivity, wares off after a couple of hours and has potential long term side effects. I also have 2+ PCO. Would the Pilocarpine eliminating the symptoms suggest the problem is the smaller optic of the Crystalens or is it more likely the problem is the hazy capsule and the Pilocarpine masks the haze through the pinhole effect?
Vision was very good for reading and distance but a patch of haze frequently moved into the field of vision, worsening it. The surgeon said the haze would clear after a couple of weeks or so. Months later, it was still there, but I was still being told to be patient. Nearly a year later, my distance vision had decreased quite significantly and the haze was still there.
m starting to feel better but sometimes in a haze...is this normal?..I can see my family is worried about me, but it's the medication that's making me feel that way...It seams that everyday it gets better, but I really can't tell yet. I smoke pot frequently & was wondering what this may do with the lexapro. I'm 19...If that makes a difference...I'm quite worried that the medication will worsen my problem.

Marijuana can cause panic attacks in some people. Mainly in people who have been smoking for a long time, however, I suffered panic attacks after only 4 months of smoking. Marijuana stimulates the pleasure cells in your brain. If you wan't a scientific answer do a web search. Personally, marijuana affects on me were : increased taste, increased hunger, increased sense of hearing, increased sexual pleasure, increased interest in simple or mundane activities, increased paranoia, and sedation.
You are not going to do permanent damage to your brain from a couple nights of drinking and smoking pot. I don't mean to encourage doing things that have some risk of creating dependency, but the actions of cannabis are temporary-- as are most of the effects of alcohol-- provided you aren't drinking to the point of alcohol toxicity (for example, drinking so much that you pass out, repeatedly).
The severity of the difference would also be dependant on the length of your Herceptin treatment. Oncologists monitor these side effects very closely and I'm sure your Onc. will take this into consideration and discuss the risks of continuing your treatment. I feel pretty good afterwards and am not limping much at all anymore. My question is regarding side effects of Solu-Medrol. I realize that everyone is different but is there an average time frame for side effects? Today is the 3rd day AFTER the infusions were completed. I have the metal taste in my mouth, I could eat my family out of house and home, I can sleep at night fine but need a nap during the day and I can sometimes be very warm or very chilly.
Finally this year I picked up the smokes again and a lot of the symptoms went away , now there back still smoking but I want to quit again .... I don't know what panic attacks are but boy today I feel out of this world I just can't calm down ... Never been in meds for it ... Debating weather I should ??

There is not much standardized research done on this due to the illegal nature of marijuana. You can find MANY websites on the effects of cannibis and blood sugar, though and I am surprised you are on this one asking questions. I have a close friend who has been addicted to marijuana for a long time, she also smoked during her pregnancy and no they did not test her for it when she gave birth. I don't know much on the effects of marijuana use during pregnancy but I strongly suggest that you look into that for the benefit of the baby. I know that she breastfed for quite a while, continuing to pass the drug onto her child. Our sons are the same age and have been friends since infancy.
I still continued to smoke for a couple of days, but only a couple of puffs from my husbands cigarette 2-3 times a day, then I looked online about the effects off smoking whilst pregnant and quit straight away! There are times when I would like a cigarette but I care for my unborn baby a million times more than a dirty fag! Honestly the best thing you can do is quit, every time you smoke your babies tiny heartbeat has to beat extremely fast as it struggles for oxygen!
For the past 2 months i have been expeirencing what i can only call as a weird numbing haze over my eyes. My actual sight isn't intterupted other then things seem just a tad hazy and the areas around my eyes get this slight tingling sensation I have also noticed that it is much worse at night especially under uneven light like say i am in the living room and i have a lamp on and i am looking into the dining room where there is no light my eyes feel really funnky when i do that???
