In September of 2006 I had a stressful event happen and was on the brink of picking up a cigarette. I decided to start the gum chewing instead of smoking. I have been on it ever since. I guess I am coming to the realization that this nicotine gum can be very bad for your health if chewed past the recommended timeframe. I have been having stomach problems for the last 6-9 months that were fueled by a stressful job that I am no longer in.
m still on the first pack of cigarettes i ever bought. However, if i keep up this rate of smoking - and never having any more than that - are there any real risks of addiction or adverse health effects?
I dont want to be addicted or have the adverse health effects but i really enjoy a couple of cigarettes when im out or ive been drinking. I just want to know if were i to keep this rate up without increasing it that i wouldnt get addicted.
mcclos10 is right......just stop altogether and get it over and done with. There is no such thing as "cutting back" and after 38 years of smoking, I have played that same game and I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've increased the amount of smokes because I was "stressed" or "depressed." I was full of excuses but eventually learned that the only way to quit is to quit completely.

You are not going to do permanent damage to your brain from a couple nights of drinking and smoking pot. I don't mean to encourage doing things that have some risk of creating dependency, but the actions of cannabis are temporary-- as are most of the effects of alcohol-- provided you aren't drinking to the point of alcohol toxicity (for example, drinking so much that you pass out, repeatedly).
The severity of the difference would also be dependant on the length of your Herceptin treatment. Oncologists monitor these side effects very closely and I'm sure your Onc. will take this into consideration and discuss the risks of continuing your treatment. She has fallen 3 times, and now has had a totol of falls and seizures 6 in total.The neru doc has not heard of this game. she was not playing it, but her ex bf played it with a ex and would grab her by the throat.The neru doc is now saying the seizure are due to migraines, which she has never had before.and has put her on topamax.

I have a close friend who has been addicted to marijuana for a long time, she also smoked during her pregnancy and no they did not test her for it when she gave birth. I don't know much on the effects of marijuana use during pregnancy but I strongly suggest that you look into that for the benefit of the baby. I know that she breastfed for quite a while, continuing to pass the drug onto her child. Our sons are the same age and have been friends since infancy.
I still continued to smoke for a couple of days, but only a couple of puffs from my husbands cigarette 2-3 times a day, then I looked online about the effects off smoking whilst pregnant and quit straight away! There are times when I would like a cigarette but I care for my unborn baby a million times more than a dirty fag! Honestly the best thing you can do is quit, every time you smoke your babies tiny heartbeat has to beat extremely fast as it struggles for oxygen!

I was going to get more than one pair but he said they all look stupid on me. According to him I'm selfish. I have no pants and winter is almost here. I'm 6 months pregnant. I hate him. If you stop smoking, that's the best thing you can do. You are young, you've only smoked a couple of cigarettes and you can reverse the effects if you quit. Good for you for being concerned about it! Be tough and stop smoking now!
Look up some articles if you want to know the effects of smoking. You don't want to put anything into your body tat isn't good for either of you while you are pregnant. I don't know of any doctors who would encouraged you to continue smoking unless you are stressing out more from not smoking.

My wife has small fiber neuropathy and had been in pain like most. This past weekend she had extreme pain and after 10 years of not smoking she started again. She told me that it takes her pain away better than any medication she is on. I research this a little and found that nicotine will actually cause the SFN to get worse and stop any of here meds that the doctors gave here to work correctly.
I need help.
