I doubt it, but why are you using coke while pregnant, it can harm the baby? How long were you using before? We are here for support, hope you do the right thing and don't touch it again, for you and your baby's sake please. then they used methadone to taper her off of all the other meds. now she is addicted to methadone. they are tapering her off of the methadone, and of course she is going through hell. does anyone here know if suboxone can be used for infants?

Nor do I think the baby would spend a month in the hospital because of methadone WD.I am sure this mother is suffering enough she needs support . If it was ruled that the baby died from SIDS the baby probably died of SIDs.

Hello, I know what your probally thinking, another opiate addict looking for a legally prescribed high. Well, that's not the case. Anywho, I had aquired a heroin habit over the past two years and after trying many different ways of gettin off it I decided to try the methadone clinic, I saved it for last because of the dedication I would have to give to comply with the program. Well it's working great, I am on a stable dose after about a month of about 100mg of methadone/day.

m having the same problem with sleep and anxiety have u tried the calcium/magnesium/zinc supplement? U can get it at Wal-Mart. Take 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening, in a couple of days it will start working and will help with the rls. Methadone is a long acting opiate with half life of anywhere of 13 to more then 40 hours (meaning that it is in the body about 5 times that long). Given that infants' metabolism is usually faster than adults', it will probably be closer to 13 to 20, but it is still very long half-life. Are they going keep her in the hospital until she is totally weaned off of it? It may take a while. Methadone is not easy to withdraw from, that is why I am surprised at their choice.

I know next to nothing about addiction medicine except that when we rotated through the nursery we dreaded the baby born addicted to methadone the most. They had withdrawal symptoms for weeks and months. For the infants (and I have read for the people addicted themselves) withdrawal is far harder from methadone than for heroin or other opiates. I don't know if this helps. As for it being worse in MS, I don't know.

t understand, and we are talking 1 page and a half of side effects of suboxone, vs. 1 small paragraph of Bupe alone, subutex.
