Avatar n tn Can eczema and/or psoriasis be painless and non-itchy, especially if it is localized? Could eczema cause tingling of the skin? I had small red patches on my penis glans that tingled, but did not itch or burn.
624829 tn?1240755671 I would like to know whether I have Eczema or Psoriasis and what medication would actually help me. Can this be cured ? It is causing me stress. However, the itching only happens twice a day.... please do respond... Thank you.
Avatar n tn I have mild psoriasis that I have been treating for 30-years and assumed that the treatment would be a tar-based creme. This usually quieted the problem down and it seemed to heal. I was undergoing a physical exam at the VA and the nurse-practicioner diagnosed the problem as a fungus and to use Lotrimin or Clotrimazol cream. I tried Clotrimazol 1% and got the same results that I got with the Tar-based product. Once the rash develops, it just gets worse, even though I am using Clotrimazol.

In this disorder contact with triggering factors like soaps, cosmetics, jewelry, clothing, and detergents causes symptoms. Sometimes sweat, changes in temperature and psychological stress are known to trigger these episodes. Psoriasis is an auto immune disorder that can cause dry cracked hands. Genetic and immunologic theories have been predicted as causes for psoriasis.
Avatar n tn i figured i would use some monostat cream on it in case it was a yeast infection. 3 days into the treatment i noticed an irritation on the underside of my penis below the glans. this one did itch ever so slightly. i continued to use the yeast infection cream on it but every time i was done taking a shower it would just dry right out again. the iritation on the head went away totally after about 5 days, but the monostat seems to not have any effect on the irritation on the underside.

Seborrheic dermatitis presents as dry skin on the scalp, which flakes off (dandruff). The skin on the face, behind the ears, eyelids, nose and chest may also be affected. Symptoms of scalp eczema may include greasy yellowish scales that may turn flake off along intensely itchy and inflamed red scalp.

Avatar m tn Your issue may not be psoriasis. You want to get the correct diagnosis and treatment. You also want to be sure that the skin problems are not a manifestation of a deeper systemic immune problem. You can get a lot of skin issues with immune diseases so you need to be sure that you do not have one of the other immune disorders as the cause of the skin issue. So seeing a dermatologist ASAP is important.
