Avatar m tn Ensuring that your diet is rich with these well-known free-radical scavengers can help support the body’s defences against the daily chemical onslaught. Vitamin C strengthens the skin; vitamin E improves skin healing; and vitamin A helps to regulate the rapid turnover of skin cells seen in eczema. The trace mineral selenium plays a crucial role in the glutathione-peroxidase system (the body’s natural antioxidant process) and is effective for detoxing heavy metals.
Avatar f tn My vet actually recommended that we use baby shampoo rather than buying expensive dog shampoo. But our beagle doesn't have any skin problems. I'd ask the vet if adding vitamin E oil to the shampoo would help?
Avatar f tn The RDA (recommended dietary allowance) for Vitamin E for women is 22.4 IU. EPO is officially licensed for the treatment of breast pain (mastalgia) in the United Kingdom and considered first-line therapy in several European countries. EPO was found effective at decreasing breast pain in several clinical studies, however, other studies show no benefit. I cannot find a specific dosage for breast pain, however, the dosage can range from 2 to 8 grams per day of EPO.
1029192 tn?1292981918 It can defintely be any of the skin disorders you described above. You may want to take vitamin e capsules, break them open and rub the oil on the affected areas. If you're not allergic to Aloe then you may want to buy an Aloe plant cut the leaf open and apply the Aloe directly to the affected areas. My sister who has very eczema use to do use the vitamin e capsules.
Avatar m tn I never have any discomfort, discharge and pain urinating. Prior to having this I was tested for STDs and i did not have a thing. Nothing seems to work, vitamin E, coconut oil or psoriasis skin treatment. its making me depressed.
Avatar f tn A good remedy for this is to drink about 8 glasses of water a day, but drink them after you exercise so that the water is actually absorbed into the system, also take Vitamin E and fish oil, plus about 2,000 mg of Vitamin C a day. Vitamin C does wonders for the skin. You can also rub Crisco Shortening on the legs (which contains a lot of vitamin E) You may find that your legs itch more in the winter ... this is because the air is more arid and your skin becomes dryer.

Avatar f tn I have been using coconut oil, coco butter, vitamin E oil, baby oil, bio oil and drinking a ton of water since about 12 weeks of pregnancy and I still got bad stretch marks on my butt and breasts.
Avatar f tn t sure if I should try to wash off the spf and then massage the vit E oil or just massage in the vit E oil on top of the spf. For those of you who used vit E or something else, how did you coordinate it with spf application? Also, anyone try the Mederma with 30 spf? I looked at it today but whoa! $19 at Walmart. I keep reading that people have been very sensitive to Mederma so I'm not going to even try it for a few months anyway. Thanks!
Avatar f tn Generally good scar treatments are vitamin E, pierce a vitamin E capsule and rub the oil into the scar. Another option which works well for me is Bio Oil. Rub the bio oil into the scar 2 times a day and usually within about 3 months the scar is alot fainter in colour and less red. But, both Vitamin E and Bio oil can only be applied when the scar does not have any areas where the wound is still open.
Avatar f tn Other lip problems can be due to lack of Vitamin Bs in your diet and specifically Vitamin B12. You can buy supplements of this vitamin. Your doctor can also take a blood test to check your Vitamin B12 levels. As well as keeping your lips well moisturised with the lotions that SassyLassie mentions, you could also try and apply natural set yogurt to your lips before going to bed.
Avatar f tn The best combination I have found is Cure lotion for extra dry skin, bio oil and vitamin E oil about 3 times a day. The vitamin E I started using in my third trimester and it has reduced the appearance of the stretch marks I obtained trying to find something that worked.
Avatar f tn Try waxing instead of shaving, and make sure to select the proper wax for your skin because even wax can give you bumps and maybe try using an oil after shaving such as coconut oil, vitamin E oil or tea tree if your skin likes it.
541844 tn?1244309824 Decreasing magnitude or time course of the PH-promoted enhanced LP (at early post-PH stages) by in vivo treatment with vitamin E could promote an early termination of preparative cell events, which lead to the replicative phase, during PH-promoted liver proliferation. The latter could have a significant implication in the antitumorigenic effect ascribed to the treatment with vitamin E. http://www.nature.com/labinvest/journal/v83/n11/abs/3780756a.
Avatar n tn Have u tried using pure Vitamin E oil? You can get 100% Vitamin E oil from the chemist in a little bottle for about $5-$10 I think. Or you can buy Vitamin E capsules and use the oil inside them. There's some different schools of thoughts on Vitamin E, but most people believe that it is very good for the skin, and especially good for healing scars. I've used it on big cuts before and it has done a fantastic job healing the wound without leaving a trace.
Avatar f tn I had my TT on Jan, 12, 2011 and i have been putting vitamin E on oil on it every night and it is remarkable how well it is healing...massage the oil into the scar to break up the scar tissue every night.
5609181 tn?1375332372 Has anyone used vitamin E capsules on their skin for stretch marks? I just for a bottle and was just wondering what I should expect, if anything. I've heard oil is better than lotion so I guess we will see!
Avatar f tn i have what looks like a rash (small pimples) on my chest and behind my ears, when asked my dermatologist she told me it's eczema which i never had growing up and i'm 25. accutane might be the cause of it since i started to notice it a little while after i started taking it. it's does not look like dry/patchy skin but it is sometimes itchy and i've tried everything but nothing seems to work.
Avatar f tn Vitamin E oil is great and very inexpensive. Bio Oil is also very effective for stretch mark prevention and treatment. If you do get stretch marks, dont worry your little bundle of joy will be worth every one!
3093770 tn?1389739126 And I also conditioned my scalp with products like coconut oil( pure, organic) and a product called Waxalene, which contained soy bean oil, vitamin e oil, and bees wax. I also used bee pollen.
Avatar n tn I purchased biotin 5000mg, nacin, msm 1000mg, vitamin E oil and 8 oz of coconut oil. I grounded each tablets and mixed it with coconut oil. I apply this mixer on my scalp once a week. My question is am I being smart? What are the side effects of applying this supplements directly on my scalp? Should I be careful about using msm or nacin on my scalp? What should I know before i continue to use this self made hair growth mixer? Thank you.
