1221025 tn?1266842580 Hello, The symptoms are suggestive of eczema. In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. My sincere advice is to follow up the treatment that you have been prescribed by your dermatologists.

Avatar f tn What is the best treatment for vaginal Eczema. I have this for years now, it comes and goes. I use Calendula gel when I have symptoms, it seems to help but not completely. Is there something that I can use that is more effective. It is very uncomfortable. Burning sensation, etc. I had a biopsy done a few years ago and results came back (SPONGIOTIC DERMATITIS) which I been told is like ECZEMA. Can you please help or have any comments regarding this condition.
1619100 tn?1325959148 It would be great to have a tracker for skin quality/health improvement since I know a lot of us suffer from skin disorders. It would be really beneficial!
Avatar n tn Hi, The scrotum is a very sensitive area. Fucicort cream is usually indicated to inflammatory dermatoses where bacterial infection is present or likely to occur. And one side effect is local atrophic skin changes. Unless the lesion is diagnosed as eczema, refrain from using any medication. Treatment is always based upon an individual's age, overall health status, and the type and severity of the condition. It would be best to have it further evaluated by your doctor.
1227049 tn?1267237385 Hello, Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. A combination of treatments should be used. Along with topical steroids, you should use good quality moisturizers on the area. Immunomodulators like tacrolimus and Pimecrolimus are not without side effects and should be used after a dermatologist’s prescription.
Avatar f tn Eczema is a skin disease that causes itchy, red, dry flaky skin. There is no cure or reasonable treatment. The treatment is typically steroids but there are side effects. You should cut down on the amount of baths you get. Don't use hot water. Use a oil based soap like oilatum or Dove all natural. Use natural laundry detergents based on enzymes. Don't use bleach or dryer pads. Use a good moisturizer just after shower. You need to moisturize at least twice a day.
Avatar n tn I know this misery well. Once I went on my first elimination diet for the digestive issues, that's when I discovered the true source of my misery: GLUTEN and DAIRY. The two go hand-in-hand. Look up key words like "eczema diet" "what not to eat with eczema". Conventional doctors usually miss this. I stumbled upon it myself when looking into my other health issues.
Avatar m tn It is often caused by allergies to common natural inhalants and intolerance to some foods. In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. The treatment prescribed to you is correct. In addition keep your skin well mositurised.
Avatar f tn As i understand there is no effective and guranteed treatment for Tinnius If you find some treatment, please inform me. My mother, and my siblings have the same problem. I am stone deaf since last 11 years. I use hearing aids. They are not satisfactory as natural hearing.I understand tinnitus may lead to deafness. So pursue the treatment till he is ok.
Avatar m tn If you find that it itches, then you scratch, then the rash either appears or it gets worse, it is likely eczema. If the little blisters seem like they're filled with clear watery liquid, that's definitely eczema. There are different types of eczema, too. I'm annoyed that conventional doctors don't bother to suggest that patients with eczema try eliminating gluten and dairy from their diet.
Avatar m tn I kept using the cream just in case it was just a persistent yeast infection and when I came back to get the results (which were negative again) I was told the red cracked and mildly scaly appearance was more than likely eczema. I was told to use a moisturizer until it went away. For the first month after I used 2 different type of moisturizers (one all natural and the other was lubriderm) but it didn't seem to make any difference.
Avatar n tn I can scrub the tops off the bumps with a skin scrubbing pad but they are back in two days. I may have contracted them at a health spa a few years back. I have looked at photos of athletes foot and it does not match. What could be a diagnosis and treatment.
Avatar n tn The first step should be to speak with your physician to determine if he/she has exhausted all diagnosis/treatment efforts and if Eczema is the correct diagnosis. If that is the case then you and your doctor should consider consultation with a Dermatologist, ideally one with an avid interest in this disease, at the nearest University Medical Center.
Avatar f tn It is claimed that apple cider vinegar is helpful in ailments such as constipation, headaches, arthritis, weak bones, indigestion, high cholesterol, diarrhea, eczema, sore eyes, chronic fatigue, mild food poisoning, hair loss, high blood pressure, obesity, along with a host of many other ailments. Google it, you can find lots of info on it. My old Taekwondo instructor swore by it for keeping his appetite in check.
