Avatar n tn Hello, In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema — regardless of type — involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. Avatar f tn I've seen several posts on here from 2008 till 2010 about itchy vulva/labia and I was wondering what there is to do a bout a constant itch? I noticed that I itch a lot more at night and in the heat, then I have an intense cycle of scratch itch and dryness and then sores from scratching so hard that I cut the tissues with my nails.
Avatar n tn This sounds like eczema to me. Their seems to be an epidemic of men with eczema on there scrotum. The national eczema society and university dermatological sites claim that only 2 to 3 percent of adults are affected by eczema. When you research this board you will find dozens of cases in the past so many months. 15 million people in the USA 2 percent adults thats 300000. I guess all the men get it on there scrotum or the doctors have no clue.
Avatar n tn He has been finished with the treatment for 3 weeks and with the Elidil and dipping him in Aquaphor 3 times per day he has not had anymore than just a "dry patch" appearing here and there which I combat with the Elidil, Momentasone and Mimyx and the usual Aquaphor regimine. He also takes Atarax 2 to 3 tsps per day for his allergies. Is this wonderfully clear skin still associated with the low dose steroids? Could I be so lucky to be keeping it at bay after all of these years?

Avatar n tn It will come and go for the rest of your life. Balantis is just eczema on the penis. Do you have eczema any where else? Cortisone cream should clear it up. Apply twice a day for a week. If you came in contact with something that you are allergic to it will clear up as long as you don't come in contact with the substance again.
