Avatar m tn t there be a linear improvement, instead of it going up and down a bit with this cream. The eczema does not itch at all (my baby does not scratch it, is not bothered by it), and I suspect it's seborhoeic eczema (judiging from pictures in a dermatology atlas). thank you for your anwer, with best wishes!
Avatar f tn Avoid hot tubs as well, some of the chemicals in hot tubs can be extremely irritating to people with eczema! My mom used baby oil on me as a kid so that may help for youor kids. Avoiding anything with strong scents has decreased my need for medication drastically. The best thing i can say is to visit a dermatoligist. They will be able to give you suggestions as well.
Avatar m tn In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. If the eczema is more severe, phototherapy (a type of treatment that uses light therapy) or systemic (circulates throughout the body) medication like oral steroids may be prescribed.

Avatar f tn What is the best treatment for vaginal Eczema. I have this for years now, it comes and goes. I use Calendula gel when I have symptoms, it seems to help but not completely. Is there something that I can use that is more effective. It is very uncomfortable. Burning sensation, etc. I had a biopsy done a few years ago and results came back (SPONGIOTIC DERMATITIS) which I been told is like ECZEMA. Can you please help or have any comments regarding this condition.
Avatar n tn Well, I have two small children. Ages 7 and 4. My 7 year old got molluscum approx 2 years ago. The doc said to wait it out it will go away on its own. Fast forward two years later and now he has more and more. So I took him to a Dermatoligst and he treated them with a beetle juice that caused them to blister and go away. They scabbed and and became red. Some went away and some became inflammed and infected. Since we started the treatment, for every one we blisterd two or three new ones appeared.
Avatar f tn if you're so worried why havent you taken her back until they give you something that works??

Avatar m tn Hello, Eczema is characterised by red, dry patches which are itchy. If the rash is non itchy then it can be pityriasis alba. Pityriasis alba is a common skin condition mostly occurring in children and usually seen as dry, fine-scaled, pale patches on the face. No treatment is required and the patches in time will settle in due course of time. The redness, scale and itch if present may be managed with simple emollients and sometimes hydrocortisone, a weak steroid, is also used.

Avatar m tn My 5 month old baby has had a horrible red rash on his cheeks and chin for a few weeks now. My derm is telling me it's eczema and to apply desonide ointment to it. My problem is my baby rubs his eyes, cheeks and mouth while he sleeps. We put socks on his hands but he is CONSTANTLY rubbing. I know if if I apply desonide to his cheeks as the derm. tells me to that he WILL get it in his eyes and mouth. They tell me it's safe. Can someone please reassure me that this is safe.
