Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with atopic skin and easily get small rashes, eczema here and there on myself. The rashes are not serious and go away by their own after a while, except on certain spots. Recently I've noticed that after masturbating a lot I easily get this rash on my genital area, where the hair growth is. I've read that sweating can cause atopic dermatitis and I definately sweat alot while masturbating and also touch the area a lot.
Avatar n tn In my opinion, this can be due to atopic dermatitis or eczema. Atopic allergy is a type of immediate hypersensitivity in humans resulting from spontaneous sensitization.Diagnosis of allergies is done by skin ***** or patch tests and confirmation is done by blood tests like RAST. I would suggest that you get these tests done for the various allergens from an allergist.Treatment usually consists of avoidance of allergen.
Avatar m tn My son has been incredibly sick ever since. Are these symptoms too vague to suggest what this cat could have been suffering from and possibly transmitted to my son? We live in Southern Alberta...prairie-like area west of the Canadian Rockies. Thanks very much for any suggestions you could make in what this cat may have been carrying.
Avatar m tn i have the herpes virus in my eczema, i was wondering if you could tell me what is the best things to use other than my medication ?
Avatar f tn As far as I am aware, the flu-like virus that infects dogs is not transferable to humans - or from humans to dogs. The two strains are completely different and isolated to each species (although most viruses do mutate and very rarely they can transfer from dogs to other animals, but not humans). That said, I would be extremely interested in what the vet has said and where he got the information from.

Avatar f tn I cook for him and he is in the office kitchen with me eating etc daily. Could I have caught it from him, esp if I have eczema (the eczema is not severe at all) Am pretty alone in a new town, trying to get into doctors and this is a little of a wild goose chase. So, your advice is certainly appreciated and very helpful. Thank you so much!
Avatar m tn Your wife should avoid hot water (wear gloves if she has to wash dishes), fragranced lotions, and other harsh chemicals. Also, sunlight helps to alleviate symptoms. My daughter only has symptoms in the late fall and winter months. They clear from mid-April through about mid-September or October. With that thought, vitamin D is vital to many functions of the body. Your wife might want her doctor to check her vitamin D level to make sure that it is not low.
Avatar n tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be contact dermatitis or eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g.

Avatar f tn A few days later, I have an itchy red rash on my arm. It feels rough as well. I have eczema so I wanna believe its that but I'm going insane. Can anyone tell me why my symptoms aren't ARS related? What kind of rash would I expect if I had ARS? Thanks.
Avatar m tn it appears to be an "eczema" disease. i'v been experiencing it for 2 years and it spreaded from my middle, to the 2nd, 4th and now the 1st finger (only right hand). So the finger's skin made a cycle, where it peeled, and then it grows the newer one but its thick and theres no fingrprint in it, then it goes back to peeling and again. (But in a small area).
Avatar f tn Could it be eczema or something else? I have never had eczema, so this would seem weird to me if it is and to just have it in one isolated spot. Should I see my doctor? Thank you!
Avatar n tn Hi I have a severe case of eczema. I flare up extremely bad on face and neck in the winter. Also when I sweat excessively I itch. Is there any help or products I could use to keep me from looking like a frosted flake in the winter months?
Avatar n tn Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema. Keeping the affected area moistened can promote skin healing and relief of symptoms. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eczema It would be advisable to consult a skin specialist for your symptoms and a proper clinical examination. Avatar m tn Genital herpes can present with physical symptoms within a 2-20 day period. If the only symptom you are experiencing is itchiness, than its more than likely it's either your imagination / some form of dermatitis (eczema) / jock itch, etc. etc... Again, if your only symptom is itchiness, its best you DO NOT itch, but monitor your symptoms. If redness and inflammation appear in your genital region, and or any lesions, bumps, blisters, cuts, ulcers, etc...
Avatar f tn Here's an interesting thought. I didn't know about this, 'til my primary doctor just told me. I have many food sensitivities, and I have Celiac. Did you know that eczema is one of the symptoms of Celiac? Okay, here's an interesting one for you: When I stopped eating gluten and dairy, which is absolutely essential for celiacs, I stopped having the severe eczema that I had been experiencing since I can remembering.
