Avatar n tn I know this misery well. Once I went on my first elimination diet for the digestive issues, that's when I discovered the true source of my misery: GLUTEN and DAIRY. The two go hand-in-hand. Look up key words like "eczema diet" "what not to eat with eczema". Conventional doctors usually miss this. I stumbled upon it myself when looking into my other health issues.
Avatar f tn Hi Doc, Thank you for your response,my eczema rash has gone away with the help of the melaleuca products, oil,n renew lotion, its a miracle to me,i just have the "pimples"which used to have pus like fluid exactly like a acne pimple, not big but there, however it doesnt have that now,n looks to be drying up,but but seems it has scarred the little red bumps on my skin.As for the rash its now gone so no itch, scaling, dryness, all gone.

1486289 tn?1315842255 ve found the aveeno line of products to be EXTREMELY helpful and it has helped us to minimize the use of topical steroids. Aveeno does make a line of products for infants. There is also an infant eczema cream tho I'm not sure of the brand..it's in a pale green and white tube though.
Avatar n tn Have you checked your fabric softener and any skin care products you use? Try changing to unscented products. Dove beauty bars for sensitive skin are widely recommended by dermatologists. And are you on antihistamines? That may help as well.

Avatar f tn My GP told me the most likely cause is lactose, so I am now avoiding eating dairy products (for almost 2 weeks now). I have eczema on my eyelids which I tend to scratch when I sleep, I have been putting Sigmacort cream on it but it doesn't help. Is lactose causing the eczema on my eyelids? Is there a short-term fix to the eczema on my eyelids?

Avatar f tn I have NEVER had an issue with dairy products. However through my pregnancy I feel as though I'm almost developing a mild intolerance to it. It wasnt bad in the beginning, but now at 37 weeks any time I take in dairy it upsets my stomach. Kinda makes me afraid that my little one may also have an allergy to dairy then since I plan to breast feed. Any one else ever encounter this??

Avatar n tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be contact dermatitis or eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g.
Avatar n tn t had a flare up in months - however, when we stopped using it for a few weeks (Aveeno took it off the market temporarily when they changed the packaging), her eczema came back and none of the other products (including Mustela) did anything. I was so relived when the Aveeno came back on the market I bought 4 tubes right away. I also give her an Aveeno oatmeal bath once a week. Hopefully this can help you as well. I can totally empathize with your frustration!
