Avatar n tn Hello, Although the pictures resemble lesions of dyshidrotic eczema but since there is no itching,so this diagnosis needs to be reviewed. In my opinion, consultation of a dermatologist will be the best. Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn in my eyebrows, the bridge of my nose, both my cheeks, and along my jawline on each side. it usually goes away for a while, but it always comes back. i took some pictures today if anyone would like to see them. it looks so horrible this morning that i had to stay home from work. it also goes into my gotee and moustache, turning them both red and burning, and also cause flaking. it also makes the outer skin around my nostrils really itchy!
Avatar m tn I have tried topical anti-fungal ointments (Lamisil), as well as Miconazole spray a week prior, and did the full 4 week treatment as well as the full 2 week treatment orally for ringworm, and I am guessing by the looks of the rash on my arm being bigger now than it was before treatment that it was most likely not ringworm.
608553 tn?1389502811 Topical steroids is the mainstay of treatment of eczema. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). But they are available under prescription and should be taken only after consulting a dermatologist. Symptoms can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.
Avatar m tn It is often caused by allergies to common natural inhalants and intolerance to some foods. In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. The treatment prescribed to you is correct. In addition keep your skin well mositurised.
Avatar f tn Hello, From the symptoms it can be eczema or rosacea. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.
Avatar m tn So I have been getting spots for about 8-9 weeks. They tend to itch, at different times of the day, then get really itchy, the spot then gets big and raised, and after an hour or two goes down to a smaller red spot almost not visible usually within a couple hours or sometimes 48 hours. Then they are gone. When I first notice them, its really itchy, the middle of the area is white, and surrounding it is red. When I take pictures of them, they look like a pimple with a white head.
Avatar n tn Unfortunately from looking at the pictures around Eczema, it does not really look like the bumps that I have on my finger. There is typically no redness around the bumps. About a year ago, I was diagnosed through an anonymous testing service with HSV-1. From doing a lot of research and seeing pictures, I'm scared that the bumps are from the possibility of having herpes whitlow.
Avatar f tn Hello Eczema - My four year old's eczema seems to always bother him more so at night. He'll wake up in the middle of the night screaming and intensly scratching himself. Shingles - I don't know too much about it, but it does sound familiar. Sorry I couldn't be much more help!
Avatar m tn Dear doctor, My little girl has two spots of what is supposedly eczema in her neck and one on her chest. My family doctor prescribed 1% hydrocortisone cream, which I applied. After 3 days it was almost gone, but she told me to continue until it was fully gone. I noticed that with further application the two spots in the neck increased in redness, especially right after application. A few hours later the redness fades gain.
Avatar f tn Hello, From the symptoms and pictures,it looks like nummular eczema(stubborn, itchy rash that forms coin-shaped patches on the skin.Found mainly in adults but can oocur in children also) , hives(red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. They have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours. Many cases of hives are "idiopathic," meaning no cause is known.

Avatar m tn Hi, I just noticed these bumps really maybe about a week ago, but I do think that I've had this condition before while growing up, but just never took notice to it. Does anyone have any idea what this is? I thought it might be eczema or psoriasis but in the pictures I've found of those the skin tends to be dry while my skin is still soft.

Avatar n tn s difficult to see, but it looks as though you have a pale larger erythema, which is something I get now after years of treatment, which is disseminated Lyme rash. I was told initially that I had eczema. It did not look like what you have, except that it itched terribly, darkened the skin, thinned it and it looked terrible. My Lyme doctor, however, said that Lyme can cause a large variety of rashes.
Avatar n tn Trying to figure out what this is ... I've taken a few pictures in hope that it assists some of you. First time on here so I hope I'm doing this correctly (asking the question). I've had this for about a year off and on - lately a lot more on than off. I will get rashes anywhere on my body (ranging from arms to legs, torso - everywhere). The skin will become itchy with very slight redness, or sometimes even bright redness.
Avatar m tn It never hurt or wept or crusted over or looked anything like the herpes pictures I could find online and by the time I got back into the clinic (about 2-3 days after) the "sore" was completely gone but some of the glans still appeared red and cracked, they also reswabed for herpes.
Avatar f tn My new boyfriend has genital herpes and has been symptom free for 2 years (Carriers can transmit the disease without having any symptoms of an active infection). He also has eczema on both his inner thighs (a few inches below his genitalia). The eczema sites appear red and irritated though I am unaware of any discharge from them. My question is, even if we use a condom, could the genital herpes be spread through his eczema??? I'm panicked by the horrific genital herpes pictures!!! Help!
Avatar n tn My 18 month old developed a rash about two weeks ago that began as separate bumps that turned into a more sandpapery raised rash that started on the outside middle of his leg and now seems to be spreading as far down as his heel, as far up as his hip. I brought him to the doctor who quickly diagnosed it a s atopic dermatitis, gave me hydracortisone valerate and sent me on my way. He was busy. Driving away I realized that he didn't answer some of questions.
