eczema

Avatar f tn Hello Eczema - My four year old's eczema seems to always bother him more so at night. He'll wake up in the middle of the night screaming and intensly scratching himself. Shingles - I don't know too much about it, but it does sound familiar. Sorry I couldn't be much more help!
Avatar m tn I have it on my underarms, although they look slightly different for both underarms. The left side looks like typical eczema. Red, scaly, patchy, and very itchy. My right side is a little harder to describe. When I first started getting it I thought it was ringworm. But the doctor's biopsy found no fungus. It never responded to any fungal medications anyway. It usually starts out as a single red dot, and it eventually turns into multiple dots covering my armpit.
Avatar m tn I have tried topical anti-fungal ointments (Lamisil), as well as Miconazole spray a week prior, and did the full 4 week treatment as well as the full 2 week treatment orally for ringworm, and I am guessing by the looks of the rash on my arm being bigger now than it was before treatment that it was most likely not ringworm.
Avatar m tn ve noticed that it appears to be growing down my body particularly around my arm pits, sides and devastatingly now my groin, inner thighs and upper legs. I haven't tried treating it because I don't know what it is, I just hoped it would disappear. I've recently started a new relationship and this is really knocking my confidence to get intimate with my girlfriend.
Avatar n tn I recently noticed a small, slightly raised red bump on my arm. At first I thought it was an insect bite, but in the last five days I have gotten about 20 more of the same red sores all over my body. There are a few on my arms, legs, back, and even one in between my fingers. The sores start out as just a red circle, but within a day or so I start to see a ring of dried and peeling skin on top of/inside the original red sore. They are smaller than a dime and itchy.
Avatar n tn Hello, for a few months now a rash has been developing on my arm. At first i thought that it would eventually go away on its own, but instead it seems to be steadily growing (although at a slow pace). It consists of small bumps that are the same color as my skin, and grows in little patches. At first I thought I might be developing a ringworm, but it isn't raised like one. It also isn't itchy unless I'm out in the sun and sweating a lot. Then it seems a bit agitated.
Avatar m tn I have developed a red rash of sorts on the back and side of my left arm, left shoulder, and around both nipples. Went to my PCP who ran a ?lood test for any potnetial fungal issues, that came back negative. Went to a derm who tells me it is Eczema and I will be fine, take Claritin or Zyrtec and some topical creme he prescribed and I will be fine.
Avatar m tn At first i thought i was allergic to the new colorful wrap they put around when they draw blood, untill it developed on the other arm too. I never associated it with my eczema, as thats always on my hands. Did you ever find out what it is??? If so what was it, because im dying to get it treated. Its been super warm, and it honestly looks like someone was shooting up and had a reaction. I get lots of stares. Sometimes i wish theyd stare at my baby bump instead because its not *as* awkward!
Avatar m tn Two months ago I began to get a sore on my arm. It slowly grew and then one formed on my other arm. I went into the doctors but they couldn't figure it out or fix it. I was given Altabax as they thought it could be impetigo. Since then I have no funds to go to any more doctors so I am looking online. The sores now spread to my stomach and legs. 2 on stomach, 1 on each arm, and 4 on one leg, and 3 on the other.
Avatar n tn yeh i agree , how bout eczema ? irritation to your deodorants etc. go see a doctor you might need some eczema ointment (ointment better than cream ) try to avoid E45 ..
803552 tn?1237924431 Hi. For the last 6 months I have had a rash on both arms. It is lots of red dots that are very slightly raised and they don't itch. They are very unsightly. I went to my dr who said it was eczema and prescribed Aqueous cream but I don't think it is eczema and the Aqueous cream hasn't helped at all. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn So I then preceeded to try EVERY ointment and cream on the market to no avail. A little after two months into it, I got a rash on the other arm in the same exact position but not as bad. I then went to patient first. The doctor there prescribed a Steroid cream and gave me some pills to stave off the itch ( i have never experienced an itch this severe) So I used the cream....and the rash went away. After it went away I stopped using the cream. Then...it came back.
Avatar f tn I was just diagnosed with HSV2 a week ago. I have red spots on my upper stomach and arm, but it looks nothing like the pictures I've seen. When my doctor looked at them during my exam she said it was eczema. The test results states HSV2 IgG >5.00 and HSV1 IgG 0.19. I wasn't given any medication, but my pap came back as having HPV with no abnormal cells. I have never had an outbreak or any type of symptoms and I have been tested before and I was negative.
768015 tn?1333652075 For the past few weeks I have these rash things on my skins and I have it on my arm. It looks like eczema and itches like crazy. If I itch to much it bleeds. Is this normal? What will make it go away. Not only is it annoying but it looks awful.
Avatar n tn in my eyebrows, the bridge of my nose, both my cheeks, and along my jawline on each side. it usually goes away for a while, but it always comes back. i took some pictures today if anyone would like to see them. it looks so horrible this morning that i had to stay home from work. it also goes into my gotee and moustache, turning them both red and burning, and also cause flaking. it also makes the outer skin around my nostrils really itchy!
Avatar f tn The various possibilities of a round itchy lesion is varicose dermatitis (occurs over a varicose vein), discoid eczema (this may be both the dry or wet type), asteatotic eczema or a variant of discoid eczema over dry skin, gravitational eczema, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis (if you work outdoors or somewhere where some chemical or plant or any thing else comes in contact with your arm), or even psoriasis and tinea corporis (a fungal infection).
Avatar m tn I have those weird little blood bubbles on my skin that just appear out of nowhere. They're very small, I made a video of the biggest one. I have hairy arms so I shaved that spot so you can see. I have another one about that size on my back and all the other ones are so small you can barely see them but they're there. Every few months I find a new one. The one on my arm has been there for years and never changes or get bigger, so is the one on my back.
1518259 tn?1290830745 I recently got a skin rash on my inner fore arm. It is about the size of a quarter, all red, itchy, and perfectly round. The skin within the rash looks a little dry and flaky. The area surrounding the rash is also slightly swollen. I don't recall getting bit by any insects. I first noticed some tiny red bumps (about 3) clustered together on my arm. From there it grew taking on a circular shape and started to get very itchy.
Avatar f tn Earlier this year, I got horrible sores in my mouth along with the rash on my arm. I finally had the blisters on my arm cultured to show herpes simplex. About a week after the culture, I developed pox like blisters over my entire body, my arms the worst. I've got a fever, sore throat and severe body aches now too. Valtrex helps somewhat with the blisters on my arm if I start it soon enough, but this whole body rash laughs at any medication I try. Anybody have any thoughts?
Avatar n tn Hello, Although the pictures resemble lesions of dyshidrotic eczema but since there is no itching,so this diagnosis needs to be reviewed. In my opinion, consultation of a dermatologist will be the best. Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn I have had eczema problems in the last trimester of my first pregnancy on my stomach but now this time I have really irritating eczema on my right arm and I cant seem to find a cure to stop the itching and get rid of it.
Avatar f tn My new boyfriend has genital herpes and has been symptom free for 2 years (Carriers can transmit the disease without having any symptoms of an active infection). He also has eczema on both his inner thighs (a few inches below his genitalia). The eczema sites appear red and irritated though I am unaware of any discharge from them. My question is, even if we use a condom, could the genital herpes be spread through his eczema??? I'm panicked by the horrific genital herpes pictures!!! Help!
604120 tn?1219978810 Over the last week and a half-ish it has spread to red welt-like blotches all over my one arm, and a few spots here and there on my other arm. The itching has intensified and the spots have gotten bigger. The first one I noticed is now the size of a river pebble. Also- this is the THIRD rash I have had over the last month and a half and they have ALL been different. I've been waiting to see a dermatologist- but they are booked till December. Can anyone help!?
Avatar m tn As I mentioned, some weird things like eczema appeared on my leg 1 week after (close to my penis). I used an eczema cream and it has almost disappeared from the first leg but starts appearing on the other one at the same place... Please check the picture attached: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/716/img1499fu.jpg/ I am scared about Syphilis... Any idea about what it is ? Eczema due to stress ? Syphilis ? An other disease ?
Avatar m tn Since joining a new Gym I have aquired a small rash on the outside / back of my right upper arm (around the tricep area) I believe this to be from contact with the gym pad on the preacher curl support and can only assume it is some kind of viral / bacterial infection. (I now avoid this machine of use a towel). Small redened raised areas give way to slightly larger swellings that contain a clear fluid if broken. approx 5 at a time.
Avatar m tn Check out "lichen schlerosos" online in a medical dictionary that shows pictures, and see if you can find some pictures on dark skin, and read the description. Maybe that's what's going on. The other thing that it might be is vitiligo, but I've never heard that it hits the pubic area more (or sooner) than other places on the body.
