Eczema on right hand

Common Questions and Answers about Eczema on right hand

eczema

Avatar n tn I found some tiny red spots on the inner side of my little finger, of my right hand, approximately 2 months ago. It was very itchy and I thought it was an insect bite. I am pregnant, and talked to my OB/GYN and she thought it might be just a skin allergy, so I started applying a corticoid cream (over the counter). I used it for a week, and it felt fine at the beginning but then it came back. It is really itchy and red, and it has expanded all over the inner side of the finger.
Avatar m tn Every once in a while, 2-4 times a week, I get a rash at random on my right hand between my thumb and index finger. Sometimes it extends over the top of my hand, sometimes it does not. Sometimes it itches, sometimes it does not. I used to be allergic to everything but I'm not anymore. In past experiences with allergic reactions, a shower and some cream would do the trick. I've tried this approach to no avail.
Avatar m tn it started on my right hand and spread to my left hand. the bumps are red, kinda sore. the ones on my middle finger are clustered. what could it be? i read somewhere you can get herpes on your hand. is that a possible answer?
Avatar m tn It was bleeding and he stroked it across my hand causing me to notice a blood smear on the hand. The same hand had some Eczema crack which I had scratched earlier that same day. My cracks / cuts were not bleeding but one was open a bit causing it to glisten in the light. So I think at some point there could have been a chance while removing the equipment that his thumb could have stroked these cuts / cracks causing some interaction with his blood.
Avatar f tn Hello. Starting several months back, I noticed a small flesh colored bump on my hand, it was above my wrist, on the back side, not the palm. After I realized it was there for at least a month, i guess i started scratching it and eventually it cut. After that happened, it started expanding to more of these little bumps, though its kinda hard to see them because I have scratched it quite a bit and its now mostly a raised dime sized area with some raised bums around it.
Avatar n tn I think you are describing dyshidrotic eczema. This may be aggravated by frequent hand-washing and the use of chemicals, but it isn't caused by them. Most people who do your kind of work can quiet the rash easily enough by using topical creams. I don't recommend injections and pills, because it's a chronic condition, and internal treatments aren't safe for chronic use. You should see a skin doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. Take care. Dr.
Avatar n tn I had these blisters on my right hand only for the past 3 years they come and go. But my doctor told me to use the soap CETAPHIL on my hands and body. Also he told to avoid washing my hands to often, or to use latex gloves to avoid irritation on my hands when I use other type of soap. I try to follow instructions but it is hard sometimes. Yesterday I bought a cream at walmart it is called DERMAREST for psoriasis it has helped alot for my severe eczema that my doc diagnose my skin condition.
Avatar m tn About 6 months ago, the skin on my point finger (right hand) started drying out and cracking to the point where it would bleed. Shortly after the rash moved to my thumb right next to it. Jump to today where I know how 5 fingers impacted - 3 on my right hand and 2 on my left hand. I've tried treating it with prescription medication for eczema but it had no impact. The same medicine helps eczema that I have on my foot (which I started getting just about a year ago.
Avatar m tn it appears to be an "eczema" disease. i'v been experiencing it for 2 years and it spreaded from my middle, to the 2nd, 4th and now the 1st finger (only right hand). So the finger's skin made a cycle, where it peeled, and then it grows the newer one but its thick and theres no fingrprint in it, then it goes back to peeling and again. (But in a small area).
Avatar f tn The best hand cream for the papercut-like lesions you describe is Elizabeth Arden 8 hour hand cream. This is good for the dryness and irritation associated with conditions like Allergic contact dermatitis. Avoid exposing your hands to potential allergens like washing-up liquid and clothes detergent. Wear non-latex gloves for household tasks. Eloise.
Avatar n tn My daughter first notice the rash on my grandson's hand 3 weeks ago. And yes it is itchy. No chemicals or insect bites exposure. I saw the rash yesterday and his skin is peeling off only because he scratches it but I told him just to try not to scratch...I gaave him some tea tree oil soap for his hands. My daughter is still applying the steroid cream. I will tell her to get a refferal for a specialist.

Avatar f tn Great news. Please let us know how the treatment works. If it doesn't work in a couple of weeks, be sure to let your doctor know. It can take a while to find the correct medication(s) sometimes. I am a little surprised with the medication. It doesn't end in "-sone" which is the typical ending for a steroid. Steroids creams are pretty standard treatment for eczema. I don't remember how many were tried on my daughter before we settled on her current treatment.
Avatar m tn The only thing that comes to mind is that there are different types of eczema. That's definitely not the kind I have, though. I'm not sure what else it might be. As far as that one goes, it wouldn't hurt to look up "foods to avoid with eczema" or "eczema diet" or words similar to that. That doesn't really look like eczema, but the eczema diet might help.
Avatar n tn If so that same medication will help for the herpes on the finger if indeed that is what is going on. did you have eczema flaring up on your hands/fingers recently? Since you are allergic to bandaids - keep the finger covered with something else like a guaze pad and some non-latex tape.
Avatar n tn My 3yr old daughter developed a itchy blotchy red rash on her hands along with a few little raised red bumps. Then where her arms bends she developed a bumpy red rash. Then 2 days ago she seems to have the blotchy red rash on her feet. I have taken her to the doctor and they said it is not hand foot and mouth. They think it's eczema. However, the entire family seems to have this sore hand symptom with some bumps but not the redness or blotchy areas.
Avatar m tn This could be a case of eczema like the one you have on your hand. Also SLE or lupus should be ruled out as it typically causes rash on the face on either side of nose. Also it could be due to contact dermatitis due to any eye cosmetic or any other cosmetic you use. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
