Avatar m tn You need to take care that everything you have in the way of household cleaners and personal care products are fragrance free, dye free and sulfite free. Only natural essential oils, and only if your skin can tolerate it. And, no bubble bath. Sappo Hill is an excellent bar soap. Look them up and you will see that their product is made in the traditional old fashioned soap making process. The only difference is that the fat they use is coconut oil.
Avatar n tn t know what kinds of options are available for personal care and home care that are safer for our sensitive skin conditions like eczema. I shared the long post, because it was such a struggle for me to figure this out. All because so often conventional medicine doesn't recognize something like diet playing a role or that there are many useful natural products that are so much gentler to the skin that help a lot more than the pharmaceutical creams and ointments alone.

My freshman year in high school, the skin around my mouth began to chap. I didn't really pay much attention so I used original chapstick. As time passed it got more and more intense. I'm now a senior in high school and at this moment I'm experiencing a flare-up.

Avatar n tn I've had eczema my entire life and it's NEVER been as bad as it is now. I just gave birth a little over a month ago, but my skin now is soo irritated and itchy I can't even sleep at night. It's made it hard to move or take showers. It burns. I've had perscription steroid cremes every type of lotion out there. And all my dermato wants to do is use the same cremes. I NEED RELIEF!! Does anyone know a natural way to ease the eczema pain?
Avatar f tn Hello, Eczema is term for a group of medical conditions that cause the skin to become inflamed or irritated. It is often caused by allergies to common natural inhalants and intolerance to some foods. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.

Avatar m tn Is this skin condition eczema or psoriasis and should I keep using medication? Is there a natural therapy for this condition like lemon juice or coconut oil or anything similar? Tea Tree has failed to work. Here is a picture of the condition on my chin after I shaved. It doesn't look this bad again if I keep my chin hairs short. This was immediately after a hair trim/shave. http://toddwaldorf.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/IMG_2204.
