eczema

784419 tn?1236261756 My diet has nothing to do with my eczema. I eat a balance of meat, fish, dairy and fruit/veg. As I always have done. I don't stick to any one detergent for use in my home/laundry, nor do I remain faithful to one moisturiser. After showering I apply a liberal dose of whatever moisturiser I'm using at the time, but the itching continues. Coconut oil, oddly enough, is the one thing that is guaranteed to aggravate the itching! I can't use it, because it makes my skin red and sore.
Avatar n tn Hi, There is no definite cure for eczema but its recurrence may be easily controlled. Dishydrotic eczema is initiated by an itch scratch cycle that leads to eruption of lesions ( which usually contains a clear fluid ) and thus may eventually present with an excoriated or weeping lesion. Topical steroids of moderate and high potency may be used. Also avoiding direct contact with possible irritants may be able to help. Wearing protective hand gears while working will be beneficial.
Avatar n tn s probably not psoriasis, which is chronic and can only be controlled by tamping down stress on your immune system, as this is the body attacking itself. Eczema can usually be at least moderated with natural lotions that keep you well moisturized. I get rashes from walking long periods of time outdoors in the winter because the skin gets dry in the winter and rubs against the long pants I have to wear that time of year.
Avatar n tn This sounds like eczema. Which is very dry itchy skin. Do you have it anywhere else? Try changing your soap to an all natural oil based soap. Also use a mild moisturizer like cetaphil. Don't wash the area to much. Also check your detergent. You might want to change to an allergy free laundry detergent.
Avatar f tn This is Eczema. The more you scratch the worse it itches. Eczema is a skin disease that causes itchy, red, dry flaky skin. There is no cure or reasonable treatment. The treatment is typically steroids but there are side effects. You should cut down on the amount of baths you get. Don't use hot water. Use a oil based soap like oilatum or Dove all natural. Use natural laundry detergents based on enzymes. Don't use bleach or dryer pads. Use a good moisturizer just after shower.
Avatar f tn Hi, I've developed a rash on my inner leg between at the crease where it joins my scrotum. It's red and itchy but not blistering or weeping, more like eczema. I have it two weeks, not going away or getting much worse. Two things occured two weeks ago, I went for a 30km cycle, first in ages. And also received oral sex from a man. So heat rash or STD? Any help appreciated.
Avatar m tn I kept using the cream just in case it was just a persistent yeast infection and when I came back to get the results (which were negative again) I was told the red cracked and mildly scaly appearance was more than likely eczema. I was told to use a moisturizer until it went away. For the first month after I used 2 different type of moisturizers (one all natural and the other was lubriderm) but it didn't seem to make any difference.
Avatar n tn today the skin around both eyes is red, dry and burns when \i put moisturizer on it. i thought it might be eczema cuz of the cold but why would it start only now?
Avatar n tn Next, use a natural soap with no fragrance, use a good moisturizer preferably one designed for eczema. Some people are allergic to so many things that even finding a moisturizer can be a problem. They apply it and get worse. The doctors never explain anything to them, so they start using more, thinking that it's getting dryer, The problem might be they are allergic to a chemical in the moisturizer. Typically when your itchy all over it's a new medication, nerves, stress or dry skin.
Avatar f tn This will help trap moisture and keep the skin supple. Irritant or xerotic eczema may be used interchangeably with winter itch. This type of eczema is due to repeated exposure to a drying or irritating agent. The dryness may initiate an itch cratch cycle which may cause excoriations and further worsening of the skin condition.Aveeno and cetaphil may be good choices. You wash the skin with cetaphil and use Aveeno to moisturize the area.
Avatar m tn I have problem. When I get stressed or hungery, my skin becomes dry and wrinkeled. after I get full and relaxed, my skin looks more natural and oily soft. I work and go to college, so I can't stay away of being hungery or stressed, because I spent hours in work and collge with full of stress. is there any medicine for this or is this normal. I am 26 years old, and I look older than that. this condition started 3 years ago, but now it is increasing.
Avatar m tn As in... hours, both my hands have become very dry. Right one is starting to crack. It wasn't like this yesterday. I figured, low humidity. Steam not helping, all the windows are open and it's a very foggy night, not helping. Heater is off, not helping either. There are no blisters, but cracks are forming near the knuckles. Skin is getting more and more red. I've never been diagnosed with eczema before.
Avatar m tn This rash has appeared on my hand and has been itchy. I am not sure if it is eczema or fungal. I have tried washing it with baking soda, used athlete foot cream and usually keep my hands moisturized using Cetaphil now in order to prevent it from spreading. Please take a look at it and recommend any root cause or treatment. One of my other fingers also had something similar with boils, but its fine now and just a bit harsher skin there.
Avatar f tn For the past week I have had tiny bumps all over my body. At first I thought it was just dry winter skin or mild eczema bc I've had that since I was teen on my legs. I even thought it was a side effect from stress or that I was getting sick. I used my heavy moisturizer and steroid cream that my derm gave me. Nothing has helped. I have these tiny itchy bumps on my arm, chest, neck, back, all over my legs, behind my ears, there are even a few on my stomach and back.
Avatar m tn I'm not sure, but it sounds like eczema. Did you know that eczema is exasperated by both what you eat and what you expose your skin to? I used to get giant blisters about an inch in diameter myself. It was a combination of two things affecting the eczema: gluten intolerance that might or might not be Celiac. I was also reacting to the kind of dish detergent I was using. I stopped gluten and switched to Seventh Generation fragrance free dish liquid.
Avatar n tn I have eczema and think I may have spread it all around my hands by using moisturizer cream before I recognized what was going on. I'm hoping someone here can tell me I won't have these outbreaks all the time. Where are we with a cure for this curse?
Avatar f tn For the past month my skin is driving me crazy! My forarms have developed eczema type rash (very dry, red, cracked patches) my face is super oily and super dry at the same time! And my scalp is always itchy. What is this? Make it stop! I'm 10 weeks with my first.
Avatar n tn Sounds like it might be eczema- have you had a doctor take a look? You may switch your soaps/moisturizers to something that is fragrance free for starters. You might also keep an eye on your diet- sometimes certain foods can set off eczema out breaks. I always recommend keeping a journal of when you see them and what you have eaten or the products you have used. Also, you can use aloe vera or similar moisturizer on the patches to help.
Avatar f tn Hello, The symptoms are suggestive of contact dermatitis and eczema. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Avoid using any lotions and creams over the face for the meantime. Wash your face with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat your face dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves.
Avatar m tn My wife suffers from eczema and is particularly affecting her palms of hands to the point that her skin is cracking. It is extremely itchy and she has sought medical attention with a dermatologist but the medication prescribed is ineffective. Anyone have this type of condition? Any alternatives?
Avatar m tn it appears to be an "eczema" disease. i'v been experiencing it for 2 years and it spreaded from my middle, to the 2nd, 4th and now the 1st finger (only right hand). So the finger's skin made a cycle, where it peeled, and then it grows the newer one but its thick and theres no fingrprint in it, then it goes back to peeling and again. (But in a small area).
Avatar m tn Hello, I don’t think that it is penile eczema because it occurs only after intercourse. Had it been eczema it would have presented as red, itchy , dry skin throughout the time without any relationship to sexual intercourse. I think that this is occurring due to chaffing. Chafing occurs when the skin becomes irritated by the friction caused by rubbing – either against other skin or against a foreign material. Wash the areas several times with fresh water.
1394873 tn?1338845567 Sounds a bit like dry skin or even eczema- eczema is usually little scaly. I'd start with switching to a different laundry detergent (often times that is the cause of eczema), don't use fabric softener, and use a fragrance free moisturizer on the area. If that doesn't seem to help, it's best to have a doctor take a look at the spots to determine exactly what they are.
Avatar m tn I have a lot of friends who used Abido on their children also. My baby also has Eczema and I believe that I have found a good natural product range that might help. I especially like them because they are safe and are unlikely to cause a reaction. I share my daughter's journey here:******. What I found that works is to moisturize my baby's skin very frequently! That is why a safe effective all natural moisturizer is better.
Avatar f tn A day later the skin on my testicles became hard and then started to peel.
