eczema

Avatar f tn I have had eczema problems in the last trimester of my first pregnancy on my stomach but now this time I have really irritating eczema on my right arm and I cant seem to find a cure to stop the itching and get rid of it.
Avatar f tn Target has a generic aveeno white bottle brown cap in the lotion section. Oatmeal baths. The steroid cream is NOT to be used on pregnant women unless the risk outweighs the problem.... I have to put it on my lil man and read the bottle after the first time putting on him and now make my husband do it just in case. The lotion works pretty good. The Dr said you can use crissco, Vaseline, auqaphor... However it's spelt.
4268628 tn?1375041176 Lol...nope it won't be around forever. You can thank your plummeting hormones for changes to your skin. It's like the whole 9 months wasn't enough and pregnancy has to get in a few last digs. My skin goes haywire after all of my deliveries too. How are mommy and baby?! Besides the eczema?
Avatar f tn Okay..since I've been pregnant my eczema has flared up and is extremely uncomfortable. ... does anyone know of any safe remedies I could use?
Avatar f tn ve noticed where it itches on my belly i will get bright red patches and it will seem really irritated. eczema does run in my family but i have never had it. im 32 weeks along i figured if something like this was to come during pregnancy it would have earlier not this late. i do not see my doctor until thursday to ask about it. Avatar f tn Any good treatment for eczema? 20wks today. Really suffering a lot. Tried Alpha Keri and QV intensive care but its not working. Help please....
Avatar n tn There is really no definite cure for eczema and topical corticosteroids are the mainstay in controlling but not preventing the flares of eczema. You may ask your physician if taking antihistamines will be able to help at this point as this may help in reducing the itchiness. Applying calamine lotion and applying cold compress on the skin for not greater than 15 minutes may be able to help relieve the redness and the itchiness.

Avatar f tn I know eczema s really common in pregnancy so it is likely the doctor would know it when they see it, but rashes seem to be misdiagnosed a lot.
Avatar f tn i have never had any eczema or anything like this before but i googled and saw something about pregnancy eczema...is anybody familiar about this and any treatments??
972881 tn?1247884374 I am 19 years old and just got married, me and my husband haven't really talked about having a baby yet, but I think I may be pregnant. I've been very moody the last week or so, along with breast tenderness and nausea. I took a home pregnancy test about a week ago... the day before my missed period, and it was negative. I still haven't started my period. I've started developing a strange rash all over my body... on my ribs and breasts, my thighs, and my arms...
Avatar m tn Anti-itch drugs, often antihistamine, may reduce the itch during a flare up of eczema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage and irritation to the skin. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone or desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema.
Avatar n tn Just last week i read about how apple cider vinegar helps in eczema itch relief. I gave it a try and it really works. I diluted the ACV in one part water and one part ACV and applied it with a cotton ball. Let it dry and apply Polisporin to areas that are starting to heal. I know everyone reacts differently but this is the only thing that worked for me for a long time. Im still in the healing stage from the scratching but the itch is gone.
Avatar f tn It is very common with children who have eczema. It is contagious and can spread. The bumps have a little bit of liquid in them and if you scratch them and they bust the liquid will make them spread. It is a viral skin infection. For Most kids who have it, it will go away. If it is really bad the dermatologist can burn then off. I have noticed a lot of soaps that contain fragrance or harsh ingredients make her break out more. We use Dove body wash on her and it really helps.
Avatar f tn My 7 month son has eczema and has had a rattling in his breathing which gets worse at night for 4 weeks. The doctor has looked at him and says it's coming fro high up which means there's nothing wrong. However i'm worried it's asthma. My brother had it with eczema as a child so there's a family history. He's got an intolerance to cows milk so he only eats soya. He's had a permanent cold since he was about 2 weeks old.
Avatar n tn Should pat dry nit completely dry of to keep moisture in. But during my pregnancy I used 100 pure natural African shea butter.
6712392 tn?1393708678 Provably is eczema. I never had it in my life then once I got pregnant with my 1st born I had it on my leg chest and vagina it was awful! I think my pregnancy brought it on. Crazy thing too is my son has it really really bad!
Avatar f tn Hey guys Im 23w&6d"s & I woke up with SEVERE ACNE !!!! I never had acne before and I can't use everything on my face because of eczema but now my eczema face cream not working.. Any advice???
Avatar f tn Treatment is with glucocorticoid (a corticosteroid steroid) ointments, creams or lotions. They do not cure eczema, but are highly effective in controlling or suppressing symptoms in most cases. Since Alcortin contains anti-bacterial, anti-fungal as well as steroid medications it would be safe to use this to treat the condition with this. ref:http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar n tn You probably have eczema in the groin area. Their are dozens of posts on this site and others concerning the same symptoms. My whole scrotum turns red and sometime the leg creases. None of the medication the doctors gave me do anything. I do not itch unless it turns really red. But when you read about eczema it usually itches and turns red after you scratch it. I never scratch, but it turns red sometimes within minuets. The area gets so dark in color it looks brown.
Avatar m tn I belive I have eczema in my genital area because I have it also on my chest. I've tried treating it with different types of lotions but lotions seem to make it worse. I tend to scrath the area because of the itchiness which then leads to breaking of the skin at the base of my penis. Never breaking of the skin anywhere else in the genital region, just at the crevase of the lower pubic area at the base of the penis.
Avatar n tn Doesnt mean baby will be lactose intolerance either and can happen at any point in pregnancy, usually goes away too. I have eczema and pregnancy triggered it during this awful summer heat when I usually only have it in the colder months fall/winter ..
Avatar f tn I always get eczema every summer on my elbows and knees. Well this summer was different and I didnt get it at all until a few days ago and its a huge patch on my foot!! Pregnancy does weird things to your body, certainly get it checked out but dont freak about it too much!
Avatar f tn I thought At first it was an allergic reaction but my Dr told me it was pregnancy eczema. She recommended eucerine eczema relief. Its an over the counter lotion. After a week of using it my eczema almost vanished.
