Avatar n tn Can eczema and/or psoriasis be painless and non-itchy, especially if it is localized? Could eczema cause tingling of the skin? I had small red patches on my penis glans that tingled, but did not itch or burn.
Avatar f tn My new boyfriend has genital herpes and has been symptom free for 2 years (Carriers can transmit the disease without having any symptoms of an active infection). He also has eczema on both his inner thighs (a few inches below his genitalia). The eczema sites appear red and irritated though I am unaware of any discharge from them. My question is, even if we use a condom, could the genital herpes be spread through his eczema??? I'm panicked by the horrific genital herpes pictures!!! Help!
Avatar f tn Hello, The cream that you are using is steroid cream and from the symptoms it can be eczema skin. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.
Avatar m tn 11 months had what seemed like a reaction to a body wash soap. Initially had itching/burning specifically on my feet and genital area. Since then, the problem seems to come and go. I'll have an episode that lasts for 2-4 weeks and then it completely goes away for a few months. Now again, I'm experiencing the same itch/burn and it seems to have sprung up b/c I used a new scented soap a few weeks back.
Avatar m tn I belive I have eczema in my genital area because I have it also on my chest. I've tried treating it with different types of lotions but lotions seem to make it worse. I tend to scrath the area because of the itchiness which then leads to breaking of the skin at the base of my penis. Never breaking of the skin anywhere else in the genital region, just at the crevase of the lower pubic area at the base of the penis.
Avatar n tn s Multiple times and have come out with a clean bill of health and i was told it wasnt herpes and i have never gotten any bump or patches of bumps on my scrotem as a matter a fact my genital area is the only uneffected place on my body Eczema has yet to hit. so why does this coinsides with my Eczema breakout evry year are they related or unrelated? is this even possable that this is dueto my condition?
Avatar m tn I came across in the internet about Kaposi varicelliform eruption or eczema herpeticum which affects people with eczema(I know I should not be relying on the internet but it was one of those things I just read unknowingly and made me all worried) . I dont have such a problem and I know it is rare but my father actually works as an allergist and might be exposed to patients with eczema herpeticum when they come to find out about the allergies which is causing their eczema.
Avatar m tn Forgot to say, the beginning of symptoms, the doctor diagnosed as eczema, but every 3-4 days, genital other parts will have new symptoms, the doctor's diagnosis of eczema or glans inflammation
Avatar n tn m itching an area that otherwise looks fine. The worst itch is occuring in my genital area, inner thighs, and recently my knees and shins. the skin is also red not just dotted with the red spots. i went to a walk in clinic and after looking at my inner thighs was told that it was eczema because i have dry skin. She gave me 2.5% hydrocortizone cream to use on it.
Avatar f tn also herpes and eczema is almost always hsv1 related from oral herpes and eczema, not from genital herpes and eczema. no worries there from your child having genital herpes!!
Avatar m tn Could it be irritation/reaction from the cream? Eczema? Genital Warts? Do genital warts appear that big within that short of a time frame? I have researched everything I could on the internet and saw 20 different skin conditions is looks like. They are not white, or dark, or blistery or pus filled. I have been in a relationship for 5 years. Had protected sex with a girl 4 years ago and then this incident where the only two. Please help.
Avatar f tn Most likely fungal related. If your having a constant genital itch, you should see your gyno to help clear them up before the tissue is damaged and it becomes cronic. No std causes constant itch.
Avatar n tn then i though it could be eczema due to the fact that i have had some pretty extensive eczema lately. i have had eczema my whole life. it comes and goes, but as far as i know i have never had it in my genitals, although i have had it on my inner highs and my buttocks. since splitting from my husband my stress level has been very high and my eczema got prettyu bad on my arms, shoulders, back, armpits, and sides... fairly certain it isn't genital herpes due to the fact that it didn't hurt.

Avatar m tn We also use condoms consistently. Recently he had direct hand-genital contact (stratching he thought was jock itch), next day had a genital outbreak and about 2-3 days later massive outbreak on both hands and little on his feet. We are very concerned about hand shedding infecting the children and me in daily activities (he has worn latex gloves at home, tripled his meds, used topical cream, and slept in a hotel this week to avoid family contact).
Avatar m tn I received a massage in which myself and the lady were both nude. There was no genital-to-genital contact but there was hand relief and she did touch my penis frequently throughout the massage. After the massage, I realised that the lady has eczema. She said that this was the reason for the red marks on the inside joints of her arms (ie adjacent to the elbows) and her legs. I started thinking about it after leaving the massage place.
Avatar m tn If it is due to eczema, you can apply good quality moisturizers. the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. Doing so tends to increase effectiveness and reduce side effects from medications. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn if you had a lesion culture in the genital area come back + for herpes, then you have genital herpes. when your eczema flares up in the genital area, avoid sex until the skin is back to normal since a flare up can trigger herpes shedding regardless of type. repeat your igg blood test 3 months post encounter for better answers.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with atopic skin and easily get small rashes, eczema here and there on myself. The rashes are not serious and go away by their own after a while, except on certain spots. Recently I've noticed that after masturbating a lot I easily get this rash on my genital area, where the hair growth is. I've read that sweating can cause atopic dermatitis and I definately sweat alot while masturbating and also touch the area a lot.
Avatar n tn About 2 weeks ago I noticed a single small sore on the shaft of my penis, it looked more like a small nic and had a bit of a scab, it just seem to have appeared as a scab. I never noticed any blister or any other discomfort until I saw it, thought I may have just got the skin caught in my zipper. Every once in a while I put cortisone on it and it seem to start to clear up but then I would pick at it and it would persist.
Avatar n tn However, the appearance of eczema varies from person to person and varies according to the specific type of eczema. Sometimes, eczema may lead to blisters and oozing lesions, but eczema can also result in dry and scaly skin. Repeated scratching may lead to thickened, crusty skin. To confirm if it is still eczema, complete history and physical examination of the skin is important.

Avatar m tn Hi,eczema psoriasis are related to herpes in that they can interact. Having a limited herpes outbreak could cause it to spread. Its called eczema herpeticum. It is rare however and would cause someone to become ill with very painful eczema often times.
Avatar m tn Hello, Such kind of symptoms can be due to eczema skin like nummular dermatitis or due to dermatitis skin. If the lesion is itchy then it can be due to ringworm. From the description(dry, red, circular ), it seems like nummular dermatitis but exact confirmation has to be done first. Steroids prescribed in nummular dermatitis can worsen the symptoms if it is ringworm.
