Avatar f tn Now why would eczema break your face out with red bumps? eczema doesn't break out in bumps. Actually has no bumps. 99% of doctors mistake another thing for eczema. Now if you had ACD, then that would explain much more. Allergic contact dermatitis, and not to be confused with contact dermatitis, which doctors do mention. Contact dermatitis is from a contact with chemicals.

Avatar m tn I have eczema in my eyebrow/upper cheek on the left side of my face. I used to have dandruff, but it has essentially cleared after using zinc shampoo a few times a week. But the skin is still greasy under my brow and on my eyelid, which results in hairs being weak and falling out. Any suggestions to clear up the greasy skin? I've tried hydrocortisone cream, but to little avail. Also, the condition seems to worsen after a night of drinking alcohol - is that part of the problem?
Avatar n tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be contact dermatitis or eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g.

Avatar n tn Okay, it does have its similarities to eczema in looks. But why only my face? Usually its on arms and legs. It doesnt get dry like eczema either. I just use a regular bar of soap on my face just like I always have.

Avatar f tn Hi, A couple of months ago I had a red rash/dry spot show up on my bridge of my nose and my left part of my face under my eye. Since that time I have confirmed Eczema in my ears and on my scalp. Although the ears and scalp are annoying the spots on my face are really bothering me. I work in a professional environment and even with makeup they do not look very attractive. Prior to this rash/spots on my face showing up, I was vacationing in the Caribbean and they have not gone away.

Avatar f tn About a week ago my face started to break out in a rash. At first I thought it was my faces reaction to a new laundry detergent but that wouldn't make any sense since this rash was only on my face. My skin has always been very sensitive so I decided to just wait it out until it went away. It never did. My skin is blotchy, itchy, and the blotches are a bit raised. I am african american. I am at a total loss and would love any help or suggestions.
Avatar n tn There is really no definite cure for eczema and topical corticosteroids are the mainstay in controlling but not preventing the flares of eczema. You may ask your physician if taking antihistamines will be able to help at this point as this may help in reducing the itchiness. Applying calamine lotion and applying cold compress on the skin for not greater than 15 minutes may be able to help relieve the redness and the itchiness.
Avatar n tn The itchiness goes away but comes back at least once a month and does not go away for at least a week. My face gets red, blotchy, itchy, hot, it becomes dry at times, and the bumps below my ears. I've been to my dermatologists many times, he has tried many things but it does not provide a permanent relief. I have not had this problem until about 2 years ago. It has become more frequent... Please help. Thank you.
1641357 tn?1470495393 I'm almost positive that I have eczema on my face. It's itchy, dry, red, scaly patches on my face mostly cheeks and forehead, but also around the edges of my mouth and sideburn areas. Along my hairline and my head. I've always had a problem with dandruff and i'm thinking it's moreso eczema now than dandruff. While I was pregnant it all went away (which i LOVED!) but now it's back and my face is super red and hurts and I can't stop scratching it!
