Avatar f tn Hey same thing happened to me. It'll go away and come back. It's Eczema and unfortunately there's no cure. Since it's on your face/eye you won't be able to use normal Eczema medication. Instead use vaseline on the area every night and during the day use a heavy cream like Cetaphil (it's less greasy than vaseline) make sure you use the one with the screw top, the other isn't strong enough. For the itching use hydrocordazone.
Avatar n tn Okay, it does have its similarities to eczema in looks. But why only my face? Usually its on arms and legs. It doesnt get dry like eczema either. I just use a regular bar of soap on my face just like I always have.
Avatar n tn I have a rash on my face it is quite itchy, it is a light pinkish red. Could you tell me what it could be and what things i can do to make it less itchy?
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm not a medical professional, just the parent of a kid with diabetes. Your daughter's symptoms do not sound like diabetes. Typically diabetes symptoms include weight loss, for example, and not weight gain. I would continue to work with your doctor to find out what is wrong.
Avatar f tn Recently developed itchy skin (pretty sure it is eczema) on my back and face. At times, like right now, my entire body itches and I just feel "off". I have bumps on my back and a few on my chest and torso and some redness and little bumpiness on my face but nothing substantial, it is mainly the itching. I have gone gluten free and milk free, but I did have butter last night. I use all organic products on my skin and hair and have not changed detergents or soaps recently.
Avatar n tn i have eczema on the area of face ,how can i look after ? i mean calming and moisturizing creams , can i use cosmetic?
Avatar n tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be contact dermatitis or eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g.
Avatar f tn Im 9 weeks and ive got eczema on my face ive always had great skin this is my first pregnancy. Ive used fatty cream but it stings my skin, doctors wont prescribe anything to me does anyone else have any ideas on how to help me.
Avatar n tn Hello, Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be perioral dermatitis, angular cheilitis, eczema or fungal infection. P typically affects the nasolabial folds, perioral area or perioccular area. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema.Angular cheilitis is due to bacterial infection of the corners of mouth.
Avatar m tn Diabetes per se does not cause rash, but the high sugar makes the skin more prone to infections, allergic reactions, and eczema, and it can cause a particular infection or eczema to persist. You could also be allergic to some soap, cream, lotion, oil etc that you have started using recently. So, you can stop any new personal care product you have started and see if it helps.
Avatar f tn ve never been diagnosed with eczema but do have dry skin. Eczema and psoriasis can both itch. Hyperpigmentation can occur from our scratching. Were you told you might be prediabetic after a physical when they checked your lab work? Type 2 diabetes is preventable and you can do diet changes and exercise, weight control often to control it so it does not turn into the real deal. So, I'd work on that! There is something called Lichen Simplex Chronicus.
Avatar m tn It may be that you are allergic to something. Make a list of any new products you have tried. New detergents especially, new soaps in the shower. Switch to all fragrance free, paraben free and I can't use the ingredient in antipersperants (it is the same in all of them) as it gives me a rash, and you might want to see an allergist. Do you have dyshydrohic eczema where there are little blisters or the red rash type? I had both. the dyshydrotic one on my hands and the rash type on my legs.
Avatar m tn For the past 2 summers, summers only, I have dry skin patches on my face, eyebrows, beside nose, and above the corners of my mouth. Any ideas on what this could be?
Avatar n tn Most likely,it loks like a case of eczema but other possibilities also have to be ruled out. Avatar f tn Now why would eczema break your face out with red bumps? eczema doesn't break out in bumps. Actually has no bumps. 99% of doctors mistake another thing for eczema. Now if you had ACD, then that would explain much more. Allergic contact dermatitis, and not to be confused with contact dermatitis, which doctors do mention. Contact dermatitis is from a contact with chemicals.
Avatar n tn Anti-itch drugs, often antihistamine, may reduce the itch during a flare up of eczema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage and irritation to the skin. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone or desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema.

Avatar n tn I have had fuzz all my life and have faced the fact that I need to shave my face at this age. If I did not shave each day, long hairs would sprout from my throat and chin. Needless to say, when younger I never thought that I would need to shave daily, but such is my reality since about four years ago when menses ceased for good.

Avatar m tn There is a sharp line on both cheeks demarcating the normal area from the affected area. I wash with cetaphil face wash and afterwards the areas are extremely dry and flaky. I'm thinking its either eczema or seborrheic dermatitis? Any advice would help! I have seen my GP and he advised me to stop using anything for a week and to come back and see him. He hasn't made a diagnosis yet.
