Eczema cures that work

Common Questions and Answers about Eczema cures that work

eczema

Avatar m tn It all depends on the individual and their particular needs. Remember that the main aim of prescription drugs of any sort is to fix something in the body that goes wrong. Therefore, each person has different needs and need drugs to solve the problem. What works for one patient might not work for another.
Avatar m tn I first started having small, clear, itchy blisters on my hands/ around my fingers and then they spread to my feet. They small under the skin at first and then seem to band together and get bigger and bigger. Ultimately, they got so big on my feet that I couldn't work for 3 weeks and they were protruding out from my feet about an inch. It was the most horrific experience ever. I was put on Prednisone and every other cream out there for this problem.
Avatar n tn Some of the typical symptoms of eczema is itchy, flaky, dry skin. If you have these symptoms, it is possible you suffer from eczema. Unfortunately, there's not miracle cure because the flare-ups can be caused by so many things. If you have insurance or other means, see a dermatologist to confirm the skin condition and for prescription-strength corticosteroid creams or ointments. The dermatologist may even recommend a special light therapy for your skin.
Avatar m tn Hi my name is Samir. I have been suffering from an extremely itchy skin rash for at least 5 years. It started on my eyelids, and the doctor prescribed me a cortisone cream, but the problem is recurring to this day. Then 4 years ago, i developed a skin rash in my groin area around my testicles and on the inner thighs and around the anus. then this year, the problem has spread to my lower stomach, underneath the elbows, and the sides of my neck.
Avatar n tn I have to keep a cream on the sore areas all the time because if the area dries out the pain is terrible. Do you think a cream like Elidel would work? Do you have any suggestions to help me? What can I do to Help this at home? What is the best treatment for vaginal eczema? please help..
Avatar f tn i am 15 years old and suffer from severe eczema. i am covered in eczema which is always inflammed so therefore i am in alot of pain, this restricts me from doing things and looks extremely ugly! i am always fully covered which seems weird to all my friends and everyone at school because only my best friend knows and has seen my eczema.
Avatar f tn Unprocessed organic virgin coconut oil soothes the area immediately and goes to work on healing eczema, dermatitis or just about any skin condition. The eczema creams on the market today can be used for both skin hydration and to reduce inflammation but coconut oil is a cheap reliable home remedy.
Avatar n tn I read that dabbing itchy legs with neat Dettol once a day cures the problem. And so it has for me. It makes sense. Bacteria breeds in patches on warm damp skin, and makes it itch. Scratching carries the infection - as do tights, socks, the contents of jars of unguents kept in warm bathrooms. Maintain scrupulous hygeine - boil your tights or replace! - and both the rash and the itch disappears. .
Avatar n tn However for the past year now i have ben suffering from something that i do not believe is Eczema on the inside of my hand, i have been to the doctors and they said it was Eczema but im sure its not. it has gradually got worse and worse and i have another appointment on friday, would just like a few other peoples opinion.

Avatar f tn After I realized it was there for at least a month, i guess i started scratching it and eventually it cut. After that happened, it started expanding to more of these little bumps, though its kinda hard to see them because I have scratched it quite a bit and its now mostly a raised dime sized area with some raised bums around it. it is flesh colored to pink (when i scratch). It has not spread beyond this small area on my hand and it has been months. It does get very dry and itchy.
Avatar m tn It has been already a month that I have this localized erythematous plaque on the back of my hand. The only thing I can think about is maybe exposure to cold, but it's not very likely since most of the days I'm not outside. It's a bit itchy, but I keep myself from itching since it's painful. About 2 weeks ago it seemed like it's going to disappear, but then again it "blossomed". I took some pictures of it: http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/9661/039gq2.
Avatar n tn The rash is just on her arms. She is 11 years old. Our doctor said she was treating for scabies "just in case" as she cant understand why the eczema medicated lotion has not cleared it up. I dont think it is scabies because it has been going on since spring time and she is the only one that has the problem. And it is only on her arms, not the classic places scabies would be. She also does not have the unbearable itching that I read about scabies.
Avatar n tn In the arch of my right foot there is an itchy blotch that peels every so often (perhaps some of the "cures" I've tried. Sometimes it itches so bad I can hardly stand it. I've tried Oil of Oregano, Iodine, baking soda, vinegar, peroxide, campho phenique. Nothing has cured it but I was hoping for a more instant cure. How long do I need to doctor this foot and what IS the best remedy?
Avatar f tn Also, I have read some articles that said there are cures from Australia however distributing companies prevent them from hitting the market. Is this true? I stopped with my treatment a year ago and I am currently scared about my viral load and I still haven't checked for HBeAg. :( All I do is pray, try to eat healthy foods. I'm really depressed right now and I really want to stay in the medical field.
Avatar n tn I tried axionoptics years ago. They didn’t work for me. So I thought FL-41 wouldn’t work for me. Several years later a friend found Theraspecs. I wasn’t going to try them because I thought I already tried FL-41 and it didn’t work. My friend insisted that she would buy them. So, I tried them And I can’t thank my friend enough!!! However, they also didn’t work. But put me back to looking, because now I knew they were not all the same. Axonoptics were a shade of amber.
Avatar n tn Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a skin condition that usually appears first in infancy and then at intervals in adult life. Eczema may be set off by extreme temperatures, stress, sweating, medication, clothing (especially wool or silk), grease, oils, soap and detergents, and environmental allergens. There is no cure for eczema, but there are a number of ways to relieve it. Topical steroids may be prescribed to reduce skin inflammation during an eczema flare-up.
Avatar f tn I've had it for a long time. I was wondering if that medicine from Cuba work? I've tried alot of creams and lotions. nothing.
545629 tn?1214427754 They are not round, but are more like patches. She says that they do not itch, but hurt. She says that whole arm is hurting. I did a lot of research and none of the descriptions match what my mom has. The redness is starting to spread to her upper arm. Please help!
Avatar m tn I think there is a good chance it could be eczema because I have a history of it in my family. Also I had eczema when I was a baby. Iv just never seen eczema rash as bad as I have it. Iv been using Calamine Lotion to stop the itch thats aboout the only thing that even slightly works.Only thing is that drys it out real bad. When I work out it gets worse. I believe thats because of the sweat. Thanks again for the advise.
Avatar m tn There are of course, any number of claims about the efficacy of this or that substance or herbal concoction, but evidence presented to bolster these claims usually are in the nature of testimonials, and cannot stand up to rigorous scientific testing. Just think: if someone has truly discovered a cure for pancreatic cancer, that person would be rich by now, and the news about the treatment would certainly make it to the front page of leading newspapers.
Avatar f tn I've seen several people post here over the years with symptoms of prodome burning, itching, tingling that won't go away. Has anyone found any real answers or cures? I use the word cure only in terms of relief of the burning prodome feeling in the groin area. I have had this go on for the last two years. Sometimes I feel like it's getting better but it never fully goes away for more than a few days at a time.
Avatar f tn We eventually found out that it was a food allergy causing the eczema. Aveeno lotions and washes work great.
592969 tn?1248325405 My 4 year old has been getting bumps that seem to be in a line or a row. The bumps are pimple like, light pink or close to skin color. The bumps itch and swell when itched. They also hurt after itching. She has been getting these bumps all of her life. The doctor told us he thought they were winter bumps, but she gets them year round. Any idea of what these bumps could be? They usually last a week before healing up and then more will break out.
Avatar f tn Cold sore medications are ineffective if this is eczema. Eczema is also known as the itch that rashes, which is why the little bumps get worse if you pick at them. The usual consensus for foods to avoid when you have eczema are gluten and dairy. There are others, but these are the big ones. They definitely affect my eczema. I stopped getting the huge blisters on the heels of my hands when I stopped eating gluten and dairy.
Avatar f tn http://itsan.org/ I still have the eczema blisters on my fingers, but I have been trying to keep it under control by covering it with cotton finger bandages, giving it occasional salt water cleaning, and occasionally applying a tiny bit of turmeric to stop the weeping/itching. I don't moisturize it because I noticed that any moisturizer I use (whether it's cetaphil or something more natural like olive oil, etc.) would cause irritation.
Avatar m tn thank you all for the reply -- I ordered some hylands for the RLS--- my dad will be very happy!!!
