Have you discussed your diet with your doctor or a dietician to make sure you're getting the right foods in the right amounts? I'd be happy to help calculate your calorie needs and figure out which foods are best to eat. Third, some anti-depressants are notorious for causing weight gain/inability to lose. You might talk to your doctor about trying something else.
Avatar n tn I have a problem with never eating or eating to little. I have set up alarms to remind me to eat but I'm never hungry. I have even tried to eat 5-6 small meals through out the day but still no good.
Avatar n tn Too much insulin is what causes low blood sugars, not too little carbs. Burning fats for energy (dietary or body) instead of large amounts of carbs is a very safe tool for managing diabetes. Continual intake of carbs drives high insulin levels for people with insulin resistance; this may then cause lows... the management should be cutting carbs (and eating foods that do not stimulate such a strong insulin response)… to give more stable blood sugars. Avatar f tn not only does it help with the toning, you build muscles too and we all know muscles burn more fat, so all the better. good luck. you've already lost 40 lb, you can lose another 40 or 50 or however many more. don't let all that hard work go to waste. keep it up, eat healthy and stay focus and positive. remember, slow and steady is the way to go. it's a lifestyle change and not a magic pill overnight success.
Avatar f tn It is normal. BUT snack, don't eat. Snack on good healthy stuff. When I felt this way I was eating because I felt as if I were starving! Like I had not just eaten soup and was full for five minutes. Snack, don't eat. Focus on your three main meals, or eat six little meals. Mine went away in the 18th week. I gained weight because I ate, because I was starving. People say "you take eating for two too literally" uhm, no. I was hungry. STARVING! But snack. Don't eat. Lol.

If you eat a lot of simple carbs, such as white flour or sugar, it will store as fat quickly if not burned off immediately, and the first place it goes is to the belly. You might want to find a chart that tells you how fast foods are metabolized into sugar and avoid the ones that do this the quickest.

Avatar f tn Now wait -- eating small meals is for people who eat too much, not people who eat too little. If you don't eat much you shouldn't be gaining weight, you should be losing unless what you eat is incredibly high in bad fat and bad calories.
1462394 tn?1285937517 As a child you need to eat food to grow. Suggest you eat 5-6 small meals a day and eat regularly. That helps with digestion and you will be able to get more nutrients into your body. Stay with the foods you can tolerate so you do not have attacks and eat low fat foods, too. Do you have issues with dairy products? If so, then use Soy products which are good substitution for dairy products. Recommend a Heart Healthy diet which is a moderate fat diet.

I'm starting to gain weight even though I'm exercising everyday. I gained about 2-3 pounds when I should be losing. It's really upsetting me very badly!!! I'm WAY overweight and when I try to do the right things to lose weight I only lose down to a certain point then I start gaining back up.

Doubled quarter pounder with cheese, frys, drink and 4pc chicken nuggets lol I always feel a little guilty if I eat stuff like that but I'm usually eating veggie wraps and salads for lunch, so mehhh.... Avatar f tn t cut out anything. You are eating for the baby, not just yourself. That being said, there is nothing wrong with eating healthy and exercising. That's what you SHOULD be doing. Also, eating smaller meals throughout the day is also good for morning sickness. Talk to your doctor about your weight plan. Whatever your doctor's recommendation for weight management should be your plan.

If you have a normal bmi you should gain between 25-35 pounds and if you're bmi says you're overweight then they say you're not supposed to gain any weight. Maybe you're eating too many sweets or carbs?? you can start eating more veggies fruits and salads fish lean meats.. less cheese etc..

Avatar m tn another thing that may help is whatever his favorite meal is say burgeres fries and a milkshake make it at home with his have him chop things up you could use lean beef and make homeade fries instead of frying them drizzle them with olive oil and season or make sweet potato fries i find kids love them and for like the milkshake use fat free ice cream or low fat and for a little extra treat let him put whatever he wants into it.
