1448936 tn?1363206346 I think that's a good idea you're trying this. For lactose, eliminate all milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, etc. This means no pastries and certain breads. If you go out to eat while trying to cut out lactose, you need to check for every item to make sure there is no butter. Check the ingredients of everything you are eating at home. Don't eat any whey. Do this for at least 2 weeks to see if it helps your symptoms.
Avatar f tn Add frozen vegetables and the rest of the marinade right into skillet with shrimp. On medium setting, cook all ingredients for another 5 to 10 minutes or until all the vegetables are tender. Makes a nice sized meal for two or three without all of the calories!
Avatar f tn I would doubt it has anything to do with eating or not eating yogurt ,but more to do with the immune system doing strange things from the INF(many members have described having what you are going through).. The symptoms you describe sounds like "thrush " as it sometimes does get red and painful,,however eventually a swab would be best to rule out a bacterial infection in which case antibiotics would be needed. As I mentioned the nystatin mixture should help if thrush.

Avatar m tn hello, I'm sorry about your trouble. You mention you are from India, but did not mention where you are now. If you are in the US, you may be reacting to the change in diet. Remember even the water is different in the US; most paces add fluoride to the water, and I think all add chlorine to the water. You might be sensitive to those. Are you able to eat dairy products?
Avatar m tn If this started when you were on antibiotics, you're on the right track about probiotics but yogurt isn't the answer. While yogurt is an okay prebiotic, it's not much of a probiotic source, as the organisms used to culture it are killed off by pasteurization. Some of your better quality yogurts found in health foods stores put some back in, but not very many.

621803 tn?1302888341 what I'm looking for in a yogurt is sugar, not a lot of course, and regular ones usually have high fructose syrup. Also, don't give him the sugar-free ones, they have artificial sweetners. I usually buy a big tub of organic, plain or vanilla yogurt and add my own fruit in a blender. That way, I know what's in there!
Avatar f tn The Greek style yogurt in the US is just a little thicker than regular yogurt. So until he tells us what his current energy level is and why he wants more energy -- to do what -- we can't answer the question.
