Avatar f tn I have a yogurt for breakfast, fruit and nuts for morning snack, salad for lunch, cucumbers and yogurt dip for afternoon snack, and for dinner lean protein and veggies of some sort, and an evening snack of a soda or lemonade and maybe a couple spoons of ice cream (I can't have too much - lactose intolerant) or a couple craxkers with cheese
683233 tn?1226717787 While the concept of eating raw vegetables and fruits to preserve their nutritional components has value, a Raw Vegetable Diet does not offer a well balanced diet, which I believe to be a crucial component to successful, healthy weight loss. I share your concern that all the essential nutrients would not be met. Really glad to have you here in the Weight Loss & Dieting Community. Hope you'll stay and join us on a regular basis.

Avatar f tn After that experience with the apple, the exact same reaction started to happen after eating all fruit and most veg (only raw veg so I can have most cooked veg like brocolli, carrots etc). I then discovered recently that I’m also allergic to the majority of raw nuts. The allergist diagnosed me with Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS) although he noticed that I also reacted to a few nuts which aren’t part of OAS which caused him to be concerned and issue me with an epi-pen.
Avatar m tn My food restrictions are raw oysters, raw seafood and alcohol but I am guilty of drinking a beer and red wine twice a month and still eat sashimi fish maybe 2/3 times a year. I eat a lot of nuts and cheese , especially pistachios , almonds and pasteurized cheese. When I travel to Europe and can eat unpasteurized , I Cant help it , just love it ! 3923358 tn?1358552214 Hi doctor, i have just recently been diagnosed with gastroparesis(stage 1 mild) and ive been hearing alot that going raw vegan(fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds) can "cure" the disease. I would only go about 75% raw which means i could eat some cooked food with my dinner. Would it be safe? Thanks ahead of time!
Avatar n tn Some I seem to tolerate only cooked. I seem to tolerate a small amount of nuts, then I have to take a break from eating nuts. I can't eat peanuts. I can't even stand the smell of peanuts. I'm not as bad off as the little kids who can't so much as breathe peanut dust, who can have anaphylaxic shock from minute exposures, but I do feel unwell just from the smell of peanuts.
