Avatar f tn For about 4 years one of my friends has been talking about the EAT RIGHT FOR YOUR BLOOD TYPE book. I thought it was a bunch of non sense, but a couple of years ago I did try to find out my blood type and none of the nurses I asked could find it. Well, some of you know I just had a baby (see Having a Seroquel baby on Med Help) I found out I have O positive blood, my baby had A positive and it could have been a medical problem, but thankfully she is doing well.
Avatar f tn d like to understand you HSV status, ask for blood test type specific for HSV1 and HSV2 IgG antibodies.
Avatar m tn My face is red, hot and itchy - could this be due to Diabetes or the medication I am taking? Two years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes. My cholesterol and blood pressure are both high (blood pressure has improved this week since my GP increased the Ramipril to 10mg and added Amlodipine 5mg). Does anyone else get a red face?
Avatar f tn Does anyone here have experience with the ELISA/ACT testing for delayed food allergies? This is a specific type of testing for delayed (food and other) allergies that supposedly is more accurate, with fewer false positives and greater sensitivity, but the vast majority of the reviews and articles about it online are by the person/company that does the testing. I've had blood tests over the years for over 80 foods and have delayed allergies (aka intolerances) to dozens of foods.
Avatar f tn I cant remember the name but i think im just gonna return it bc it seems too unsafe.
Avatar f tn ok so im 13 weeks and theres mixed reviews on eating seafood. My family is polynesian (samoan/hawaiian) and we eat alot of seafood. N they say its ok. N ive read u can eat certain seafood but moderately. What kinds of fish is safe to eat?
Avatar f tn Its a great drug it does take some time to really work but once it does your anxiety is gone, at least mine was for 12 years or so. I say give it a try but be patient with it..
5536886 tn?1455827346 I would look up reviews. I usually look at Amazon if its a product they carry because the reviews don't seem biased. Also there are alot of reviews and you can read the negative ones to see if their review seems valid. I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Hi and thank you for your thoughts. We tested before he ate and one hour after. It was 57 before he ate (lunch) and about 53 an hour later. I thought about the meter. It is a couple of years old. Do you have a brand you recommend? We've looked at so many and the reviews for accuracy aren't great. Also, I forgot to include this before: My husband's family has a hypoglycemic and diabetes history.
Avatar n tn Yes, it can be hard when you can't eat and drink the same as everyone around you. But it sounds like you feel good about how you are eating and that's what counts. After awhile it will feel normal and you will even be a good role model for others by eating the way everyone should! Just don't get too arrogant around people who still eat junk because it doesn't win you any friends! I don't agree with your doctor about not testing your blood sugar.
Avatar n tn Hi. Yes, it can. Fat tissue increases insulin resistance, making it harder for your body to control it's blood sugar. This is particularly true for type 2 diabetes, though it can also be relevant in type 1. This is why one of the ways to help manage diabetes is to optimize weight. Exercise also helps reduce insulin resistance, and so may be helpful in managing blood sugars.
Avatar f tn It will be important to match your insulin dose with what you are eating so that you can avoid both high and low blood sugars. If you are having lows it may become necessary to eat small snacks between meals. To help control your blood sugar (aside from the insulin) you need to adopt the followign for diet and exercise:- 1. Ideally 30 minutes of exercise after each meal.
1238678 tn?1321857976 I am currently waiting on my second lap surgery for my Endo and my doctor has decided to start me on Lupron. I have a lot of worries about this medication but he assures me it will help with the pain. Can anyone that's been on Lupron let me know what you thought of it, and what side effects you experienced/how you dealt with them? Thanks!
Avatar f tn I've used them for 2 months and now I'm 34 weeks pregnant love that stuff
Avatar f tn What should I ask for for my baby shower? This is my first baby. I have plenty of time yet, not due until the 14th of January.
Avatar f tn I had it before and will need it again with this little one. I'm not gonna lie the shot hurt a lot lol. Other than that your baby will be fine.
Avatar n tn It would also be good to know what your numbers are 2 hours after eating, and what you HBA1C (an average of blood sugars for about past 3 months) is? In meantime, please focus on lower carb diet, exercising regularly, and normalising weight if you are overweight. Do not just accept that it is 'hormone'. High blood sugar is not normal.
Avatar f tn Anything with carbs is going to spike your blood sugar. If your trying to stabilize blood sugar, I would recommend eating lots of protein and vegetables. As for carbs, choose the healthy carbs or brown rice and more slow digesting carbs. That way your blood sugar won't rise as high or fast. I'm type 1 diabetic and pregnant, so u have been testing blood sugar like crazy for a good amount of my life.
Avatar f tn I'm O- and hubby is A+, so I'm in the same boat. I'd recommend having your partner's blood type tested. Your dr can order it so insurance will pay for it, and if he has a negative blood type, it'll be cheaper than gettig the shot.
Avatar f tn If your body senses babies blood and they have a positive blood type your body will try to get rid off the foreign body, the shot prevents this from happening. You and baby are fine now just be careful and they usually give the shot at 28 weeks. Luckily both my husband and I are positive. My mom was negative so she had to go through this with me.
Avatar n tn I am 42 years old Diabetic for 5 years on Metformin 500mg XL and Amaryl 2 mg. My blood sugars are not controlled. Fasting in 140 s and postprandial 300s. I am following diabetic diet and doing regular exercise/ What is the next step I should do. Please advise. My recent A1C is 8.5. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I'm 27 weeks pregnant and I was told I'm a negative for my blood type and I need to get a shot I was just wondering if any of y'all have gotten it and if so when is it necessary to get it?
Avatar f tn This blood type is special. Lol jk its rare. And they pay good money for it too.
Avatar f tn They only give you O type blood if they have to because its a neutral blood type and your body wont reject it.
Avatar f tn if a person is diagnosed with chronic major depressive disorder and GAD and takes lexapro and trazadone, and has been receiving monthly counciling and medication reviews for over 10 years, what is the prognosis? do these patients usually present with rigid type thinking, repressed rage, concrete thinking and inability to process in an abstract manner and severe fear of intimacy?
