Avatar f tn Do you know for sure it was just laziness making you tired during workouts? Because working out usually gives people more energy - it's normal to experience tired muscles but it's a pleasant tiredness. A tiredness that causes you to quit your workouts may mean there's something wrong, like perhaps your immune system is trying to fight off a cold or an infection. There are a number of physical reasons that can make someone too tired to workout.
Avatar f tn Izumi Tabata and researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo. HIIT workouts can last as little as four minutes but are highly effective for increasing fitness and fat loss! .
Avatar f tn im 2mnths and i know eating has alot to do with it but ive tried to keep on track with eating but this baby wants me to eat or it makes me so grouchy lol...plz help!
Avatar n tn Sometimes malnutrition can present as being skinny all over except for a bloated belly area. 900 calories is not enough food especially for someone so young. Get the doctor check up and make sure they run full bloodwork. Then if all is okay start some cardio exercise like running etc and definitely increase your caloric intake, whatever your doctor recommends.
Avatar f tn It depends on what types of workouts and food you are eating (and if your getting your body enough calories, protien and fat). Make sure you vary your workouts. Do ones that are focused and intense. Shorter more intense workouts will do more for you that working out all day but being exhausted and not putting your all in it. A good workout is boxing! Also remember you are still young and not to let anyone make you feel you are anything less than beautiful.

Avatar n tn We all know what is healthy eating and as for exercise, walking is a good place to start.
Avatar f tn I want to lose belly fat mostly so I tried ab workouts they didn't help.
Avatar f tn Yes make sure you are eating enough calories for how much you are working out. Also by the sounds of it you are working out 12+ times a week? Once a day is plenty to have a toned figure as long as you vary your workouts and do focused workouts. Make sure you are giving your body time to repair from your workouts. It is easy to push harder and further when you get the results you want.
Avatar f tn t want to balloon during this pregnancy and was wondering what are some exercises that you would recommend for a mommy that was never in shape to begin with? Since I'm due the end of August and Texas summers are brutal I'd like to wear dresses but my upper arms are so fat and flabby and I'd like to trim them down.
Avatar m tn I'm a female and have a very high metabolism. Ive been working out everyday for about 6 months (minus the break day once a week) Ive seen muscle gain and toning but no added weight... im still 80 pounds! I workout a solid 30 minuets on my legs and usually try to eat more everyday. I drink a fruit smoothie everyday and after workouts i eat a peanut butter sandwich and oatmeal I just don't understand why im not gaining any weight.
Avatar n tn What do you ladies do for workouts while pregnant? Any schedules or specifics you follow? Any good advice? Im really trying to keep my body in shape.
Avatar f tn I worked out 4-56 times a week and now I can barely get 3 workouts in. I even made a schedule for a specific pregnancy workout I found on pinterest and walking and elliptical. We just have to listen to our bodies I guess! I felt Bette when I went to the doctor today because they told me to work out 3 maybe 4 days a week and only for a maximum 20 min..
Avatar f tn Prenatal yoga is great for strengthening all the muscles you're gonna use during labour and for focusing on your breathing. I've been swimming a lot during my pregnancy as it feels so nice to exercise without feeling the weight of your belly. Walking as often as possible is also good. These are the only exercises I did but depends on your ability and fitness level. I had breathlessness throughout my preg so anything else was too much much me.
Avatar f tn Swimming is really the best workout when pregnant. I personally stopped swimming (because it's quite expensive here) when we got a dog when I was 4 months pregnant so now I'm still walking 2-3 hours everyday at 37 weeks pregnant and I've gained about 28 lbs (I'm quite tall). Hope you find something that works for you!
Avatar n tn I want to workout my abs and thighs. Any workouts that you have in mind to help me workout?
Avatar f tn The more intense the more calories burned. For instance, you actually burn calories while you eat, but you burn thousands more climbing a mountain.
Avatar f tn t wait! Just start doing some squats and going for walks. If you can hold a conversation during your exercise you are fine.
Avatar n tn Hi! I am on a diet at the moment because I want to lose just under a stone. I weigh 7.2 stone and am 5 ft 4". I exercise all day everyday by running, walking, ab workouts, cardio, aerobics and dance. However every time I lose a lot of weight, I gain it back on through eating carbs and calories. So, I decided to work off more calories than I actually eat. However, this makes me weaker so I need some alternatives that have basically no calories but are still substantial.
Avatar f tn I have been doing this whole "diet thing" for about seven months now. although I've lost about 20lbs, I still have 20 more to go. I've been eating healthy foods and exercising (about an hour of Zumba a day). I've hit a plateau. I have recently added strength training and I'm still waiting for results. When I do these workouts, It's usually later in the day, around 5 or so. Should I do my workouts in the morning before breakfast? Does it matter what time I workout?
Avatar f tn Walking, jogging, swimming, biking and abdominal exercises are good. An increase in your activity level and eating 100 fewer calories will help you lose weight and is a safe if you’re breast-feeding. A healthy breakfast, which will give you needed energy and prevent fatigue. Eat five to six small meals a day and never skip a meal. Drink eight to nine glasses of fluid a day I suggest water. Water helps to flush out fat as you lose weight.
Avatar n tn dont get me wrong, adderall doesnt make me sick or anything, it just keeps me so focused on school work and everything that my body doesnt demand food for the most part of the day. i just need the absolute best foods for extended energy that i can eat before workouts, earlier in the schoolday. but again they need to be somewhat small foods but with high levels of compact energy. any recommendations?
Avatar n tn I am a personal trainer, a family member has asked me to help her with her training as she seems to have a heart rate issue that she is receiving conflicting advice on. She is a 17 y/o female middle distance runner. She has had some good results at high school level athletics. Her resting heat rate is 42 bpm, that jumps to 170bpm as soon as she starts to warm up (a very light jog).
Avatar f tn If your a healthy weight range, and your already eating healthy and active, it's natural for women to have some fat reserves on their legs, otherwise your bones or period can be severely or permanently affected. This is really important if your still growing. For strength and toning, inner leg lifs, squats, lunges would be good. leg press, hamstring machiens at gym might be ok...
Avatar f tn If you don't like workouts like me, try beach bodys rockin body workout (its kind of like zumba but not as intense). Its super fun and easy. Plus it doesn't look like you're working out, just dancing. Don't let anyone keep you down. You'll get to your goal weight! I believe in you! Same with you morgan1342.
