The only unifying factor here is the fibromyalgia, which is a little understood disease that can cause all the other symptoms you're having, which is why I asked which came first. As for diet, the easy part to advise is to avoid anything stimulating, including caffeine and sugar.

I am not asking for Wellbutrin because of the weight loss side effects- 100% honest!!- but instead for its apparent success rate. Finally, do I simply ask my doctor to prescribe it for me? Or would they have to recommend it?

Avatar f tn As I'm sure you know from reading about eating disorders, starvation can damage the heart's function badly enough to be fatal. You are wise to be worried about that. But no, if you had had heart block of *any* kind, it would have shown up on your EKG. Besides, a fast heart rate isn't a classic symptom of heart block. At the hospital, did you happen to tell the doctor that you had an eating disorder? If you had, they probably would have looked especially carefully at your EKG.
Avatar f tn m probably beginning to sound like a broken record to some on this board, but there are a couple of things that you can try. You can try eating an apple prior to sitting down to a meal - that will help you fill up some so you won't eat so much. A large glass of water can do the same thing. Try using a smaller plate and you can have a plate full, but it just won't be as much food.

Avatar f tn t eat enough, then you might ask the doctor for a referral to someone experienced with eating disorders. Eating disorders are no fun at all and they only get worse. But the good news is that at your age you could get better with a little help because it hasn't been going on too long.
Avatar m tn s Anonymous where you will get support from people with all forms of eating disorders. I have 16 years recovery from my eating disorder so it is possible to recover. Part of recovery is learning that it isn't as much about food and weight but the feelings beneath those things. Good luck to you on getting the help you need.

I avoid and I am better. I take probiotics and a digestive enzyme prior to meals. I am better but still tired. Last Saturday I took a sleep test and was then diagnosed with apnea. If I great this, can I recover energy and GI functions? thanks, ethical girl I accidently posted this on the Thyroid site!
