Avatar f tn There can be many reasons for the way you are feeling. The best thing for you to do is to have a good physical with your doctor. Teens need on average 9-10 hours every night of sleep; it is during sleep that the muscles repair themselves so get plenty of sleep. Don't skip meals, whatever you do. Especially, do not skip breakfast as that is the meal that 'jump starts' the body as well as the brain.

I'm happy to see that the reason you've been posting less often is that you are making an effort to focus less on weight. Thinking about weight all the time is a big bore & waste of time when there are so many other wonderful things in life to think about!

They are genetic, psychological, social and spirtiual disorders. They can seemingly even disappear at certain times in individuals lives. And then come back with a vengance! Avatar m tn Are they referring to people with active eating disorders who are in a compromised medical state and more prone to seizing, or will anyone who has ever had an eating disorder be denied this med? I am not asking for Wellbutrin because of the weight loss side effects- 100% honest!!- but instead for its apparent success rate. Finally, do I simply ask my doctor to prescribe it for me? Or would they have to recommend it?

Avatar n tn HELP!!! I have a 32 month old little boy w/ sever eating disorders. @ 3 wks old he was diagnosed w/ Acid reflux & placed on special formula w/ vitamins & cereal in the formula. His gigging & vomitting slowed down dramaticly. I learned my breast milk was thin & made him vomit due to his reflux. He would spit up so severly that he was have vomit clogging all his airways & have to be cleared to breath.
Avatar m tn You need to get active, get involved in things at school with your kids, volunteer at their school, church, anything that gives you the opportunity to meet others. You will find love again one day, for now just concentrate on getting yourself in a better emotional state and making your children feel secure. My husband passed away leaving me with 3 children ages 4, 2, and 1. I had nobody to lean on, and I had to make it for my kids sake and everything I did was for them.

Avatar f tn m probably beginning to sound like a broken record to some on this board, but there are a couple of things that you can try. You can try eating an apple prior to sitting down to a meal - that will help you fill up some so you won't eat so much. A large glass of water can do the same thing. Try using a smaller plate and you can have a plate full, but it just won't be as much food.

Avatar f tn My adopted daughter is 5, she steals food consistently in excess like today by the time I got up at 6am she stole and ate two donuts 4corn bread muffins a half loaf of plain bread and a pop tart. I tried to keep most stuff in locked cabinets but I have 3 other kids who are able to get stuff on there own. Councilor says she is to young because her answers consist of I don't know. She knows it's wrong she tries to cover up so she doesn't get caught.
Avatar f tn t eat enough, then you might ask the doctor for a referral to someone experienced with eating disorders. Eating disorders are no fun at all and they only get worse. But the good news is that at your age you could get better with a little help because it hasn't been going on too long.
Avatar m tn s Anonymous where you will get support from people with all forms of eating disorders. I have 16 years recovery from my eating disorder so it is possible to recover. Part of recovery is learning that it isn't as much about food and weight but the feelings beneath those things. Good luck to you on getting the help you need.
Avatar f tn as she was not at all overweight to start with she is now unhealthy low bmi. she has been referred to an eating disorders unit were she is currently being assessed. the majority of her weight loss has been achieved by not giving her insulin. her last hba1c was 13.obviously she has this very powerful fast weight loss tool in her hands and i cant,or the medical staff,get through to her the damage she is doing.
