Avatar n tn I had lap band surgery about 2 years ago. I have lost over 100 pounds. I exercise 4-5 times a week for approximately 90 minutes. I do cardio, water aerobics, wt. training, spinning, yoga, body pump, and "boot camp" training. My biggest problems continue to be that I still use food as my drug of choice and have a problem feeling satisfied when I can't eat enough to medicate my pain.

Avatar n tn My AST/ALT levels were 430/189 2 days post boot camp workout. My legs and hips were extremely sore. I did not workout for 7 days and AST went to 88 and ALT was in normal range. Should I be concerned with such high levels with exercise. Should I forgo boot camp for something less strenuous?

Avatar m tn By exercise, its a boot camp, very strenuous activity and I will pretty much be jumping up and down for an hour. If not, how long should I wait? I would rather be safe than sorry.
Avatar f tn To lose weight, you want a boot camp that features a significant amount of cardiovascular activity. A minimum of 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous aerobic exercise per week works best. In boot camp workouts, the cardiovascular activity takes the form of sprinting, jumping rope, dashing up long flights of stairs, navigating an obstacle course or doing calisthenics like jumping jacks and burpees. Your workout should also strengthen your upper body, core and lower body muscle groups.
Avatar f tn no they do not test for it. genital herpes isn't an issue in the armed services.
Avatar m tn I'm new this forum and so happy I found it! I have a son who is first born and we are a blended family. My husband has been helping raise my son since he was one and a half years old. We are a very fun loving disciplined household and he is punished for his actions.
Avatar m tn I am an active woman participating in boot camp classes 4-5 days a week. Over the past few months I have had 3 random instances of intense pain at my knee and elbow that will disappear within 5-6 hours. The pain starts during my sleep and will wake me It will hurt all morning, then subside until it just feels like a bruise to the touch. The first was my elbow right at the tricep insertion, with no injury noted. It hurts to range the joint and very painful to touch. The second was my knee.
Avatar f tn About two months ago, I started a fitness boot camp. I could not define a point of injury, but started feeling pain in the lower left side of my back. I went to my doctor and she thought it might be kidneys or ovarian problems. Blood tests came back great. I've now had three chiropractic adjustments and am feeling no real relief. My Dr. prescribed Medrol which I finished taking over a week ago. I have also been taking Vicodin and Flexeril.
Avatar f tn Does anyone suffer a burning pain down the back of both legs? I suddenly got this one afternoon last August after recovering from a hip replacement and hamstring repair on my left side. I have been checked out by an orthopaedic surgeon, rheumatologist, neurologist and a gynae. No one had an explanation for this crippling pain. I am a 53 year old nurse with doctors in my family. Before this I was super active, like snow mobiling in the artic, hiking the mountains of Borneo etc. now...

Avatar f tn The more severe crimes spent up to one year in the camp. Should I mention that the longer the juvenile I spent in the boot camp the larger the financial gain it was due to the Judge? Honestly this just makes me sick! I live very close to these counties and have heard this unfold from the beginning. These type of people, looking only for financial gains, are only sorry they got caught! To the two young men who committed suicide while being detained there...RIP....
8732981 tn?1400768789 You don't want to over do it, especially since you are not used to working out. Walking is a good low impact workout. It is also good to focus on what you are putting in your body. Eat lots of veggies, fruits and brown whole grains instead of white. Stay away from processed foods, they tend to contain a lot of sodium and added sugar. Talk to your doctor, since you are overweight, your Dr will probably recommend that you gain less than someone who started out at a healthy weight.
Avatar f tn I've been going to this boot camp class 3 days a week and eat relatively healthy year have not lost and ounce or an inch. I've cut down on my alcohol intake alot and no changes. I don't drink soda, eat sugar, don't eat a lot of carbs (if I do it's whole wheat or brown rice). I just started doing hill sprints with a group two times a week. What should I tweek to see results?
