647137 tn?1299266391 I have personally known people including myself that did have to pick up and leave their whole life behind ( even in their thirties) and I know that they would give you the same advice. Let me know if you want any information on treatment centers or establishing a treatment team. The best place to start in looking for a treatment team is your general practitioner and your insurance company. They will tell you who is good as well as who you can afford to go to. Let us know what you decide to do!
Avatar f tn You can search for a therapist that specializes in this by using websites that belong to eating disorder treatment centers. The other thing I would suggest is that you get help now because eventually you won't have a choice. YOu can't run away from an eating disorder or pretend it isn't there because soon you will get physically very sick. I went to a treatment center in CA although I am from Tennessee.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know of a good (effective) detox/rehab facility in Tampa Bay/St. Pete area? Son prefers non-residential but has rather large addiction to roxicodone /oxycontin. This is all so confusing and depressing. . seems so many people are trying to make big bucks at desperate people's expense (and I don't mean just dealers!) No one is really giving me much hope of permanent freedom from this drug for him, either.
Avatar f tn I understand that you would like to get things in order before seeking eating disorder treatment. As you know there is never a good time for our lives to be inconvenienced. Avatar f tn I believe that I may be on my way to an eating disorder. I am 34 years old, 5'3" and I weigh 107. I am very petite and always have been. I haven't truely ever worked out, I've just been very very lucky. Even after having two kids, I lost all the weight without doing much. From as far back as I can remember I have always had problems eating if I was overly stressed or emotional about something. During those times, I will not eat.

877379 tn?1259664623 There is no such thing as being too fat to go to an eating disorder treatment program, and nobody would ever laugh at you. Have you spoken with your therapist about this?
