Avatar f tn Im only 5 weeks and 3 days along and i want to pick up good habits before the baby is born. Any tips on calorie amounts or workouts etc?
Avatar f tn I am overweight a little prior to pregnancy and my doctor told me to stay away from fast foods as it holds no nutrional value. She told me to eat as fresh and clean as I can. She said not to count calories or diet but just eat healthy and to exercise. Fresh fruits, veggies, and lean meats like chicken etc. She told me the best way to eat fresh is buy my grocerys from the outer perimeter of the grocery store thats where the eggs, milks cheese and produce and fruit and fresh meat is located.
Avatar f tn I would suggest drinking more water as it makes you feel like your stomach is full Also not buying stuff like that helps :)
Avatar f tn t mean you are doomed and you should eat a third! Eat your favourite fruit and vegies as much as possible. I like beans and lentils as a healthy protein and brown rice as a filling carb. Don't starve yourself! I hope some of this helps a little. Good luck!
Avatar n tn Stay hydrated, eat healthy, don't stress yourself over little things and start a pregnancy journal! I wish I had done one.
Avatar n tn I also hadn't lost my weight for my last pregnancy. I just try to eat healthy snacks. Keep lots of fruit and veggies on hand for when you feel hungry between meals. And try to stay away from sugar drinks. Keep a water bottle with you all the time and drink plenty of water. And stay as active as you can. I know that is hard with little ones but I try to take my son out places to walk around, or to play dates or swimming. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I do not think you should really worry about it! You're only 13! Once you start really growing you will thin out! dont worry! Just try to eat healthy and stay active!
Avatar f tn Any tips on cheap, healthy foods that I can add to my daily diet? I need more nutrition and calories but am on a tight budget.
Avatar f tn Just get up and move! Remember to eat every 3 hours...a lean protein, a complex carb, and a healthy fat! Drink lots of water...I can't stress that enough!!! Well, that's just a few things I have accumulated in my daily lifestyle. I know you can do it! Just take it one day at a time! And, don't forget to have a cheat day every weekend!
Avatar n tn i also recommend meeting with a nutritionist and monitoring your intake on junk because everything you eat your baby eats so eat as healthy as you can. Prental vitamins are necessary. I prefer the gummies to the pills. I would try and get as much shopping done as early on as you possibly can because you dont realize how expensive everything is until you begin shopping. Try and spread it out over the next 9 months so your not spending 3000 dollars all in one week.
1403867 tn?1281009744 So, I know that the common healthy weight loss goal is about 2lbs per week. Is there a different recommended weight loss goal per week for women with PCOS? Also, does anyone have any tips for how to deal with the emotional trip of not losing weight as fast as others/you would like?

I was also having bad morning sickness and nausea so I knew I wouldn't gain much. THEN my next appointment I had gained 10 pounds!! I know that when the nausea subsided I started to eat anything I wanted lol. Bad I know. Any one else struggling with eating healthy?! Any tips would be appreciated I'm stressing out about this weight gain!
Avatar f tn Angelinapaxton is 100% correct. I too lost weight and have kept it off for 30 years now. Diets do not work, they are temporary and when you go off of them you gain the weight back. The answer is a total life style change. You must eat healthy foods, don't over eat and exercise. You will need to do it from now on.. That's what most healthy folks do... its a permanent change. You need to eat veggies(not fried)fruits and whole grains mostly.
Avatar f tn The best, healthy way to lose weight is to eat about 4 or 5 small meals a day and to exercise daily, switching between cardio and resistance training. Also try to cut out soda and drink lots of water instead. Healthy weight loss should only consist of losing a couple pounds or less a week in order to keep it off long term.
