My sister just had twins about three months ago. It's more work, that's for sure, but dh and family can help out with the chores and what nots. Also, many moms of multiples have to go on bed rest a bit early. I think my sis spent 4-6 weeks on bed rest before the babies arrived. I think it was closer to 4. Also, expect to give birth a week or two early, as that is common with twins. My sis also had pregnancy symptoms "twice as bad" she says!

Your HCG levels may not be terribly high at first with multiples. We've had ladies with high levels and had singletons, and lower levels yet still had multiples. You'll have to wait and see what shows up on ultrasound. Congrats!

I am wondering if some of the symptoms I am getting could be early pregnancy signs....I have sore BBs and I have also noticed more CM the past few days. It could be in my head but I hope not. Is it too early to notice any signs?

Ladies out there with twins did u have any feeling early in pregnancy that made u think u were having twins And In fact u were.

This is my second pregnancy. With my first I was preggo with 2 gest sacs but only one baby formed. I remember my nausea starting early but not this early. Granted I haven't been really sick but isn't it kinda early for this? Sheesh! Responses are welcomed.

Lol I forgot the symptoms (pregnancy brain lol) My symptoms were just dizziness and couldn't sleep for the life of me and my smells were so strong it was crazy lol!

For me I didn't really have many preg symptoms and still don't I had an early BFP and my HCG levels at 11 DPO were 92.9 and they stayed pretty high. I thought I was having at least twins cause I started showing at 6 weeks and got an u's at 7.4 weeks and they said it was twins.....went back at 8 weeks and it was triplets lost the third one at 9 weeks....but I just had higher HCG and was bigger than I expected.

Anyone that knows they are having multiples when did you start showing? I'm 11weeks and I'm really showing. this is my second pregnancy and didn't show this early in my first one. I have only gained 1 pound too. I had an appointment already but I don't go for an ultrasound for another 4 weeks. My husband thinks there is more than 1 bun cooking in this oven. Thoughts?

So, this is my 2nd pregnancy, im only 6 weeks in but I feel much bigger than with my first. To the point where I swear ive doubled in size in the last week. I had an early ultrasound due to concerns of cramping but all came back normal. 1 yolk sac but obviously because it's still very early they were not able to determine if more than 1 fetus was present. A.) Normal to feel much bigger with subsequent pregnancies? B.) Is doubling in size any true indicator of multiples?

Nausea n morning sickness is 1 of the most common pregnancy symptoms n it usually starts at around six weeks. Some women have it severe, others not at all. I had it bad from six weeks n it started to go around when i was 14 weeks. For most it does go around the beginning of the second trimester. Bad morning sickness is not necessarily a sign of multiples but how your body reacts to the changing hormones.

I'm pregnant with twins 21 wks. My pregnancy symptoms were a lot stronger than my singletons. I also showed way faster. I found out at 11 wks, thought I was only 4wks because I hadnt missed my period.

Baby aspirin can be used in pregnant for multiples, or a history of bleeding disorders associated with pregnancy. You should talk to your doctor before starting baby aspirin.

the only difference between a multiples pregnancy and a singleton pregnancy is that your tummy gets bigger and instead of squeezing out one baby you squeeze out 2 or more. and multiple pregnancies are more likely to be premature than a singleton. (my guys were 6 weeks early but in just about perfect health. they were over 5 lbs but had a bit of jaundice).

I started showing over night and it just keeps getting more noticeable. Is it ok and normal to show this early. I am a small person around 100lbs and in the army. Is this a sign of a healthy baby, or do I need to worry and call a nurse?

Hello! As of today, I am exactly 4 weeks pregnant. However, I tested last Thursday (3.3 weeks) with 2 different tests & all came out positive!!! I am extremely excited! I am confused, though, as I have never shown up positive this early on a HPT. Could it be twins or could I just have ovulated early in the month & be farther along than I'm thinking?? No symptoms yet expect some breast tenderness & exhaustion...

My HCG levels were SUPER high. Like by the time I was 9 weeks, it had gone up to 123,000+ and I'm only pregnant with one baby. I'm not sure if the nubmers vary or not if you have multiples. I think the higher the HCG the healthier your pregnancy. So, congrats!

hey ladies!!! Have any of you found out you were having multiples later on in pregnancy? I've had 2 ultrasounds (the first they said I had a cyst on my ovary) then the second (a few days later) they couldn't find the cyst but both times they only found 1 baby. I was really early on, 5 and 6 weeks. Twins do run in both families, mine and my hubby's. This is my third baby and I am 12 weeks but I'm showing as if I'm 4 months.

I have gained 5lbs, and had these signs very early inmy pregnancy. My LMP was 24 Apr and I had blood takin on June 3 , My HCG level was 13620. Is this level high and is it likely i am having twins?

Hi. I'm new to your community & I'm so excited to be a part of it =) Here's my story in a nutshell... dh & I have been ttc for 3 1/2 years. I'm 37, he's 39. Through my HSG exam, we learned I have a T-shaped uterus, which minimized our options because my RE said it's too risky to carry multiples with a T-shape. So, after trying unsuccessfully on our own, we finally gave in & went through our first IVF cycle, transferring a single embryo.

It could be either or both! It could be multiples or it could be water retention and bloating. I know many women have the PMS weight gain and it could be like that since we still get those symptoms at the beginning of our pregnancy. Or you could just be gaining weight more quickly. I've know some people who have gained 10lbs in the first trimester. While it isn't the norm (average is 3lbs) there are always exceptions to the rules. I was an exception to the rule as well.

I'm having twins also. 13+4 so I can't tell you about being heavier, but my symptoms were much worse than with my other pregnancies. I'm still freaking out about surviving with twins. I don't know how I'm going to pay for double of everything. I have a one and two year old, so it's not like I'm going to have a shower. my car seat is expired and a lot of the other gear my two boys are still using. just lots of worry. it's like it still hasn't sunk in!
