Common Questions and Answers about Early pregnancy mucus

pregnant

Avatar n tn Does anyone know if copious cervical mucus is a sign of early pregnancy? I generally have no mucus at all, as I am still nursing my son. I have no periods either, but I took a round of Clomid this month to see if I would ovulate (and I did). I am not getting any younger, and wanted another child, but did not want to stop nursing. Long story short, I am about 1 week past ovulation, and wondering if suddenly all this mucus is a postive sign! Thanks!
Avatar f tn It's probably part of your mucus plug. Some women start losing pieces of it very early, others never see it come out. The thing about the mucus plug is that it can regenerate itself so as you lose some, it grows back. At this point since it was such a small amount I would say it's nothing to worry about, however if you start experiencing more mucus like discharge, if it becomes red, pink or brown tinged or if you start having contractions, call your ob.
Avatar f tn Also there is an increase in clear mucus discharge in early pregnancy. However, the pressure should not interfere with your daily life. Women generally forget about it when they area busy. So, if the pressure is bothering you too much, get this investigated. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
Avatar f tn how early do you start to discharge mucus? Wat does it look like? Is it the mucus plug and bloody show the same thing? Sorry if 2 many questions or to detailed? But i would really appreciate some answers!!
Avatar f tn Pregnancy symptoms come and go. It is still early and my guess is that you have a whole set of symptoms coming soon :) I wouldn't worry. Congrats!
Avatar f tn Women lose their mucus plug early sometimes.. And maybe your having braxton hicks I heard those can be some what painful..
Avatar f tn ) Increase in CM is normal in early pregnancy. Totally possible if you had unprotected sex, but all of this can also mean your period's about to start. Never had butterflies that early myself, but definitely had the killer boobs and extra goo with every suspected pregnancy. My breasts were noticeably bigger within a week! Light bleeding/spotting that seems different from your period over the next couple days is a potential tipoff that something might be up.
Avatar f tn It would seem to me that if this was indeed a pregnancy and a loss (which would probably have been called a chemical pregnancy when it happens this early) then the hpt would have been positive since it takes hcg a little while to leave your system. For instance, in October I had an early miscarriage, but I tested positive on a hpt for 2 weeks after the m/c. So it's my guess, and only a guess, that this is a messed up cycle. Definitely a good idea tho to check with your doctor.
Avatar f tn I read that an early sign of pregnancy is a white discharge (w/ no odor, itch, or color)...it happens when fertilization has occurred. FYI- I had my first IUI 10/18. some discharge started today. (plus i'm bloated and boobs are a little bigger than usual:) Anyone experienced this? Any truth to it??
Avatar n tn hey I never had the S thingy but the brown discharge during early pregnancy is normal it scared the poop out of me and my mom told me it was normal. so maybe thats all it is.
Avatar f tn I told my doc that I didn't want to take progesterone shots, so he recommended that I do subq hCG injections to help stimulate progesterone levels. I reluctantly agreed, but after researching the use of hCG shots in early pregnancy I don't want to use that either. I realize that I'm very early in this pregnancy, and anything can happen. I'm just curious what others' opinions are.
Avatar f tn How far along are you?? If its very early in your pregnancy you should go. If you are approaching your due date soon then wait for the labour to start or they will just send you back home.
Avatar n tn Hi I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I think I lost some of my mucus plug if not all of it ...is it too early ?
