infection

Avatar m tn If your dizziness feels like you are spinning or the room is spinning (and especially if associated with nausea or vomiting), this might be due to an inner ear problem. Other causes for these symptoms are brain disorders heart problems, fever, stress, low blood pressure and anxiety. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn Other conditions to be strongly ruled out in your case could be Meniere’s disease of the ear, wax in the ear, infection of the middle or inner ear, and benign positional vertigo. Hence it is important to consult an ENT specialist and a neurologist too.
Avatar n tn even if it was just an ongoing infection, I think to keep having them constantly, plus your painful symptoms, and your eye symptoms, this all suggests you need a scan, to look for possibly more tumors. By the way, whenever you finish up a round of antibiotics, drink some Acidophilus milk for about a week, it will help restore the normal "good" bacteria in the body that helps fight off the "bad" bacteria. See, the antibiotics kills ALL the bacteria.

Avatar n tn My name is Amber and I am 19. When I was 17, I came down with an ear infection known as "swimmers ear" ever since then I have had a balance disorder where very often, at least once a month, I get really dizzy, the side of my face that was effected by swimmers ear swells slightly and is sore to the touch, my jaw is tight and i get a migraine with an aura. Smells bother me, they are so unbearably strong that I am nauseated and cannot eat. Light and bright colors hurt my eyes...
Avatar m tn However, for the past 3 days, my body has been getting assaulted by a variety of things--back pain, ear pressure in my right ear, and lymph node pain right near me ear. I've had a sore throat on and off, very mild and I feel it's more the product of my lymph node violating my neck repeatedly for periods of 3 hours at a time. I have no sores anywhere. Is this HSV 1? Is this an outbreak? I don't feel tired or anything, just my lymph nodes and weird back pain.

1040373 tn?1273687488 It's a viral inner ear infection. Also known as the kind that only time will heal. She gave me an anti-nausea med. I'm relieved she doesn't think it's MS-related at least.
Avatar f tn This is most likely due to something going on with your inner ear. you could have an ear infection or virus that is causing inflammation in your ear and these symptoms are indicative of vertigo caused by that. Talk to your mom about seeing a doctor.
Avatar n tn Other conditions to be strongly ruled out in your case could be Meniere’s disease of the ear, wax in the ear, infection of the middle or inner ear, and benign positional vertigo. Hence it is important to consult an ENT specialist and a neurologist too. Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into.
20856774 tn?1638158155 These have been linked to vertigo and nausea. Do you have any other symptoms? There are other things that can cause this from infection, to virus to Eustachian tube dysfunction. But that it is happing with the recent usage of the headphones, that does seem like it may be the culprit.
Avatar n tn Im sure the first thing that should have been mentioned was a case of vertigo most likely caused by a type of inner ear infection, however if you have seen three doctors that couldn't find an ear infection....well they are either terrible doctors or it's NOT an ear infection....you never mentioned specifics on your illness back in may. what were your symptoms then?
Avatar n tn The pain may be there inside the ear and could be caused due to wax in the ear or a bacterial or fungal infection. The most common cause is wax in the ear. The wax can be easily removed with some ear drops, or in extreme cases could be removed with a forceps by an ENT surgeon. Hence, please consult an ENT specialist to ascertain the correct cause and treatment. Best..
Avatar n tn It could also be a blood pressure issue. Although I agree with ireneo it could just be an infection and the inner ear is where your blance is controlled through the semi circular canals. If these become infected you feel as though you have been on a fair ground ride all the time. If you have an infection, it is likely your blood pressure will be up which will add to the symptoms. Blood pressure can raise a lot without the heart pumping faster, it just requires the arteries to constrict.
Avatar n tn My 52yr old Brother is experiencing an acute onset of dizziness, nausea, sweating. He was out in the garage just standing, looking at items on a shelf at eye level, when he came into the house and had to lay down, he states he cannot open his eyes or move his head or he will vomit. Has been lasting about 1/2hr so far and not subsiding. He has not had a recent cold, however he had an old head injury back in the 80's, I have access to a glucometer, his blood sugar is normal 109.
3839438 tn?1348612583 I have had a bacterial ear infection for 35 days now. I just finished my antibiotic yesterday and the ear ache is still present. I feel really dizzy. I thought it was vertigo but I have had vertigo before and this is nothing like vertigo. The room isn't spinning, instead I always feel like I'm falling or my balance is off. I have no idea what to do now. I have a hard time concentrating or doing much of anything.
Avatar n tn I did wonder about sinuses or ear infection, as my ears especially feel like they are somehow blocked (as they might when on a plane), but obviously at the back of my mind is the worry of a brain tumour.
Avatar m tn i have this some sort of colds for about 2 months now and now sometimes i feel weak and fatigue, i have this cold mucus that doesnt come out and i feel sometimes stumbling or out of balance, and some dizziness and nausea.. is this sinusitis infection or ear infection.i have no fever...
Avatar m tn Other conditions to be strongly ruled out in your case (since you have other symptoms such as ringing in the ear) could be cervical spinal nerve compression, Meniere’s disease of the ear, wax in the ear, infection of the middle or inner ear, and benign intracranial hypertension. Hence it is important to consult an ENT specialist and a neurologist too.
1232362 tn?1333135406 she also told me that in spite of direction to take antibiotics BETWEEN meals, to eat first which will minimize the nausea and guess what..I have a double ear infection-THAT would cause some issues!! she was so much more helpful and forthcoming than that other one. thanks so much for your help!!
Avatar n tn This looks like a problem with the inner ear apparatus. The inner ear is concerned with balance and equilibrium as well as hearing. You can consult an ENT specialist and get the relevant tests done. Do you have nausea / vomiting also ?
Avatar f tn Similarly if you have a small infection in the ear you might not feel any other symptoms to do with ear infection - some people skip the pain in the ear or the cold/flu like symptoms. Try sitting still and suddenly turning your head sharply to the right - if it takes a long time for the room to stop spinning then this could be the issue.

Avatar f tn I did have a day where my ears were bothering me. After my symptoms left I was left with my left ear feeling like pressure .I would tug on the ear lobe and feel better. But now I feel like my lymph node is swollen.
Avatar m tn could be an ear infection or ear wax in your ears too, talk to a pharmacist- sometimes they can advise you on minor things too.
Avatar m tn the upper cervical spine (upper neck) is associated with inner ear disorders, vertigo, tinnitus, head and ear fullness, migraines, nausea etc etc etc so a spinal issue could be one possible explanation for what you've been experiencing. Hope that helps.....
Avatar f tn , I did find out I am anemic (iron deficience) a month ago and am on iron supplements now for a over a month. Was treated for sinus infection, ear infection and still have symptoms. Any ideas? The weight gain is really concerning as I have not changed my diet.
