Duoneb treatments

Common Questions and Answers about Duoneb treatments

duoneb

Avatar n tn I am using Duoneb with nebulizer 5 or 6 times a day. Also I just started Spiriva one time a day. I have started having a very tight feeling in my chest. I feel it is beause the two meds are contraindicated. If this is true, how may I wean from the Duoneb? My family physician has diagnosed me as having COPD. Thank you.
7748835 tn?1393868668 I wanted to see if my doctor would think about duoneb? I got told it would be a big help if I did a few treatments a day. Also my heart rate goes up to 180 when I have an attack but my o2 levels are good. They dropped to 92 for once second once then back up to 98. My normal is 96-98. And is it common to have sleep apnea along with asthma because I wake up with a very painful sore throat? If anybody has an answer to my questions please help me ASAP!
Avatar n tn The combination medications which include inhaled steroids and a long acting broncho dilater like Advair, Symbicort and Dulera are standard treatments for all forms of COPD. They are also used to treat asthma which cannot be controlled on inhaled steroids alone. Have a blessed New Year.
Avatar n tn If it's COPD then why arent any breathing treatments, inhalers, antibiotics helping at all? My dad can't do anything without coughing so hard that he almost passes out. He's tried everything Drs have given him and not even a breathing treatment or inhaler even helps him. Drs say they're puzzled. What could it be?
Avatar f tn Anything below 90 needs medical attention immediately. My allergist has standing orders with her nurses for breathing treatments if O2 is below 96%. I would be more concerned about the heart damage that can occur in the 80's% than the possibility of fainting. I would say that you feel bad when you take the O2 off because you need it. Avatar n tn You might try asking your doctor to prescribe Combivent/Duoneb. This is an already prepared mixture of Albuterol and Ipratropium. It is available as an inhaler, as well as a nebulizer solution. Although you can ask your doctor to be sure, Pulmicort should probably be taken separately.
Avatar n tn I stopped Advair because of serious choking that threatened my life. I have moderate COPD and am doing well on Duoneb (an nebulizing combination that contains albuterol) and an antihistamine. As for anything else I depend on natural supplements - vitamin B5, mullein extract, and MSM. I breathe more easily now than I have in two years. (Also Advair resulted in adrenal fatigue which I am now recovering from.
Avatar m tn As of now the only prescribed medicines I use are nebulized Duoneb or albuterol and nebulized Mucomyst (for congestion). Additionally I take natural anti-inflammatories.
Avatar n tn I was also given a three day regiment of azithromicin (zythromax) and Tussionex to control the cough. I was also given a DuoNeb. None of which seemed to work. After checking in with my primary care, i was given a flovent inhaler, to no avail. Following that, i was put on 80mg of prednisone, down to 60, then weaned off.
Avatar n tn I use Duoneb and Mucomyst in a nebulizer. Additionall I use natural antiinflammatories and an anti-histamine. I do not use any inhaled steroids as they caused bronchitis and sticky phlegm. They also caused adrenal fatigue and, after using that poison for eight years, I suffered a broken hip. Steroids cause osteoporosis, cataracts, and wreck your immune system. I am thinking of adding Spiriva inasmuch as Mucomyst has solved the mucus problem.
Avatar f tn Hi , i was given nebuliser and oxygen due to my sats being low , was in for 2days and than allowed home. Have now got neb at home 4times a day and am awaiting my oxygen for out and about and climbing stairs which i find makes me very breathless. Have been told i myt have to have lung transplant if things carry on the way they are. Allways getting infections and very tired. Also have M E which doesnt help.
Avatar n tn I use a nebulized albuterol combination (Duoneb) as the only prescription. I no longer use inhaled steroids after developing serious problems. The natural anti-inflammatories are more effective then the steroids and there are no side effects.
Avatar f tn It is a constant problem even just using the Duoneb, and especially if I have to take any antibiotics. I'm, constantly having to take Fluconazole tablets after a round of antibiotics for candidiasis under my breasts and in my mouth. I always rinse my mouth after any inhalers or the spriva handihaler either with water or mouthwash. Usually both. I also use Clotrimazole 10 mg troche up to 5 times daily for the thrush in my mouth.
Avatar f tn I've also been taking zofran with my pregnancy. I seen the ads as well. I just plan on talking to my doctor. I've had similar conversations with my doctor about medications (prednisone, albuterol, duoneb) and he had just felt the benefit outweighed the risk.
Avatar m tn Also, because of the albuterol and Duoneb that you might be using with an inhaler or nebulizer, this causes thrush, a fungal ailment, that starts in the mouth but can extend to the sinuses and lungs. Stay away from sugar, bread, and carbohydrates in general. These are foods for fungus that causes mucus.
Avatar n tn What had been serious bronchitis abated. I continued to use DuoNeb and Zyrtec. But the real improvement was when a respiratory therapist suggested I take nebulized Mucomyst (acetylcisteine). I have not coughed one single time since I started using it and my FEV1 has improved 20 per cent. Doctors routinely prescribe steroids with little thought to the problems they cause. In my case, in addition to congested lungs, they caused havoc with my adrenal glands.
9880688 tn?1414115647 They now have him on prednisone and mucinex plus duoneb to keep things open. He also gets an awful gurgle (started after his first chemo treatment). After the 3rd treatment they quit...they said if they gave him one more it would kill him. I know he was stage 1...they got most of the cancer out via surgery. Is this airway thing normal? Is it normal to have good O2 levels everywhere in your body except going to your brain?
Avatar n tn They keep appearing and spreading from my groin to my inner thigh. They are relentless. How can you treat and stop them? I have found some treatments over the internet using silver, tree oil, and iodine, but I am skeptical. What about Retin-A? Will salicylic acid work? Im confused and very frustrated with this condition.

Avatar m tn I may start treatments depending on my blood work Monday am at the VA. I have inflamation of 3 and function at 3.5 nearing cirrhosis with a low platelet count (genotype 2B). I contacted C n Vietnam almost 40 years ago. What do you think I can expect if I am provided the tx's? I'm anixious and ready.
Avatar f tn Hi, Thankyou you both for your kind replies, I am waiting to see a private doctor so that I can ask about all these other treatments, my own oncoligist knows nothing about these treatments. She did look up hyperthemia but told me it has caused kidney failure, were you told this Igeli? Because of the NHS system here in England I cant seem to get any info on treatments that arent used on the NHS.
