I do take Errin birth control, vitamin d3, Multi Vitamin, Duloxetine 30 mg 1 day. I think my anxiety attacks are pretty much under control since I take the duloxetine, and I really think with me taking Duloxetine and me completely stopping the vyvanse was why I didn't have a harder time coming off the medication.

I have been having anxiety problems for a few months now. I was prescribed paxil and ativan originally. I tried the paxil for one day and did not like the side effects it was giving me. So I went to counseling to try and get over this without taking medications. Well a couple of weekends ago I had a really bad weekend. I went to my doctor because I was having abdominal pains and was thinking it was something serious (which is what my anxiety problem is: health concerns).

As many of you know or have experienced, the AIs ( Arimidex, Femara, Aromasin), which are used to treat hormone-receptor positve breast cancer, often produce joint or muscle pain as a side effect. For about 20% of women, the side effects are so severe that they stop taking their medicine, which increases the risk that their breast cancer will recur.

Unfortunately smoking does affects the amount of duloxetine in your system and blood stream meaning that you will loose between 40 - 50% of the duloxetine dose you take. It is not uncommon for people to have their duloxetine prescription increased if they smoke. Unfortunately it is not uncommon if you miss a dose to be experiencing these problems if your on a high dose, my patients even at a dose of 30mg do experience brain zaps, nausea and vomiting even with just one day missed.

You don't say why you're taking the alpha blocker, and you're posting in the anxiety forum but taking Cymbalta, which is usually used for primary depression rather than primary anxiety as its effects on norepinephrine you're talking about can be very stimulating -- intentionally so to get depressed people going again but can cause anxiety because of this. None of us on here are pharmacologists, so this is a question for your psychiatrist or perhaps a pharmacist.

The side effects stated are for the duration for the prescription period or are they long lasting ?. my doctor has recommended that i take it for 6 months (pardon me for asking such questions as i am curious to know as much as possible before i start the medication.thanks again for your time.

I am on Cymbalta right now. I choose this AD because of it's analgesic ability because i have occipital neuralgia. It can be a very stimulating AD tho and for anxiety I'm not sure it's the best choice but here again it's a gamble because lack of serotonin can cause anxiety and too much norepinephrine can also cause anxiety. One thing i can tell you is that whith Cymbalta, healthy diet and exercise my anxiety and depression is gone.

I would not have recommend you to go onto duloxetine, in some, duloxetine can cause kidney and liver problems, drinking alcohol while taking this drug will unfortunately increase that risk and even more so with someone with your condition.

i was the same a few years ago after losing my job but i did not realise i was depressed i just thought it was anxiety. i ignored it for a while and i just took xanax. the depression was slowly creeping up on me and then one day it hit me very hard and i felt suacidal. i got lexapro and more xanax of the doctor and i've never looked back. i would now reconise the signs straight away and can stop it in it's tracks before it hits. sometimes ur the last person to notice it.

I was recently switched from Paroxetine to Fluoxetine. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. When on Paroxetine and I was tired ALL the time. I was literally falling asleep at my desk. It was hard to stay awake. I do have obstructive sleep apnea however I use a CPAP every night. According to the readout on the machine I usually stay between 2 and 4 events an hour.

One of the main ones is Duloxetine, which is a generic for Cymbalta. I take that for my neuropathy… It helps considerably, but doesn’t eliminate the pain. If you look it up, Cymbalta (Duloxetine) is listed as an anti-depressant, but it’s used “off label” quite often for pain. Check with your doctor and see if that might be possibility for you.

m on Cymbalta, it helped with my depression and anxiety. Its most helpful effects for my BPD symptoms were that it allowed me to fully participate in DBT therapy and skills training. Before, I would frequently get too anxious or depressed to go to therapy, so I never made it all the way through a program.

I have been taking Celebrex (200 mg a day) for about five years for bone on bone knee osteoarthritis. It has worked well for controlling my pain (not perfect but pretty good). I also get some lower back pain (combination of osteoarthritis and nerve stuff) that only happens when I over-do (like trying to garden, etc.). I typically need a day or two of Vicodin for that as the Celebrex does not seem to work for that.

My question is that for the past 3 or so years I have been taking Cymbalta for Fibro....which has been helpful. Then last year I started getting weird symptoms...My heart was racing, I felt like I the room was closing in on me, sweats, and gained about 30 lbs in the last yr. Cymbalta is for depression (mild to severe) anxiety and other conditions. Why were you put on it? I think you need to take a step back for one second and think about what do you want. Are you depressed? Do you want another child? Is cymbalta working for you? Put it all together for yourself. Why are you scared to talk to the DR? Is it because you want another child? or do you fear that you will be blamned for not being able to have another child?
