Around 3 months ago, I had an HIV scare. I had an encounter where I fingered a woman of unknown HIV status. Around 11 days after exposure, I had a panic attack, because I thought I had oral thrush. However, I have tested negative for HIV at 4 months post exposure. Regardless, I have been experiencing the following symptoms:
After my panic attack, I thought I had oral thrush, and applied oral gel for a couple of weeks, but it did not make a difference.
During the medicine for the reflux I start to have dry mouth and toothache . I cant talk too much, otherwise i start feeling dry my nose and mouth, and get fatigued. Then my tongue feel dry and gets white. I feel better when i scrape the white stuff off, but comes back often. Its been going on for 4-5 years. Its start to sleep well, and function with these issues. Doc put me on Flonase didnt work. HELP !!
I have a white tongue and my mouth feels dry. I had Gono a while ago and was placed on anitbiotics. After I noticing my tongue white, I was thinking thrush but I did an HIV test and it was negative. Any idea what this could possibly be? Any sort of STD causes this? or adverse effect to the antibiotics?
Hi, I'm not sure whether or not I've had dry mouth or not but this is a serious issue. I cannot wear certain types of clothing out of discomfort for my mouth - it's strange. I always have a white tongue, I drink a LOT of water and I use a tongue scraper everyday briefly but it never seems to do anything. It's driving me insane and I can't focus on anything without drinking water every minute. My mouth feels horrible and always has a stingy issue. My tongue feels very rough.

I was recently going on eight weeks of taking it. I too WAS suffering from dry mouth and tongue and a severe burning sensation in my throat that was getting worse. I feared the worst, waking up with severe dry mouth, panic attacks as to what was happening. I couldnt even make a drop of saliva. I stopped taking the omeprazole last night. For the first time in weeks i slept like a baby. The dryness in my mouth stopped, and the severe burning in my throat went away.

thier is adefrence netween feeling that you have a dry mouth and really having one. when you have a dry mouth the sides of your mouth start to hurt and yiou get ulcers that bleed. your tooth will start decaying becuase saliva contains substances that stop tooth decay. when you have a real dry mourth not the one fron anxiaty you will find it hard to eat bread or any other dry food.
I have noticed that I am waking in the middle of the night and morning with a mouth that is so dry I cannot swallow...teeth and tongue really dry. I am definitely still mouth breathing, even with the CPAP. I also noticed over the last week that my tongue is yellowish (related?). I wake and really do not feel refreshed, like the CPAP is not really helping. I also have acid reflux, which compounds the problems.
What can I do? Any suggestions?
During the day, I breathe alot through my mouth, and at night, I know I breathe almost exclusively this way. I always wake up with a dry mouth and sometimes, a sore throat which subsides later in the day. A month ago I brushed my tongue for the 1st time. A day or so later I noticed what looked like some bumps in the middle of my tongue. Concerned, I've bought a tounge brush and have been brushing once to five times a week.
Top of my mouth has Yellow stain covering half of my mouth ceiling. Mouth keeps very dry..even feels like i have put some LA sometimes. Sometimes mouth also gives powdery feel.
I showed it to doctor and doctor said it is not thrush. He said it might be because of GERD + Nasal Dip.
But because it has been happening EVERYDAY without fail, I was wondering if it was GERD.
t belive someone has the same thing as me. I too have anxiety and a constant dry mouth. wherever i go i have to carry a water bottle with me, since if it gets too dry i can't speak. It tends to happen more in social situations though and i have social anxiety as well as GAD. Is yours all the time or at particular times? And yes it's most likely from the anxiety.
Hello, I am looking to see if anyone else on here knows about dry mouth or mouth and tongue irratations due to stroke and meds, my mom is doing great but her mouth is driving her nuts and not sure what to do to help her, we have done every test known and also I have her using special toothpaste, mouthwash and also moisturizer for your mouth, any help would be great.
Hi im 21 years old and i lost my virginity to my ex who always said she was tested clean. 5 1/2 months later my mouth began to be extremely dry and also my tongue. More the tongue. i thought i had thrush because i kept looking and the end/back part of my tongue looked whiteish. The tip of my tongue also began to burn. Maybe because im biting down on it for the past week to dry and salivate my mouth?? Im arabian and have been fasting for the past week. no water/food from sunrise to sunset.
I have been everywhere on the web and here and nothing seems to fit, until i did some research and saw that dry mouth is sympotmatic of diabetes. Can anyone shed some light? Its more of an inconvenience than anything else. I can still swallow, doesnt affect taste, throat isnt sore, sleeping is not a problem. I should also mention this doesnt happen everytime and its also varies in dryness. I am going to be changing from a GP to Internest within the next couple of months.

Neck which may due to throat pain as per doctor said..at the same time before 3months I did a mistake that is licking a lady nipple for few minutes..so I thought, am at the risk of HIV.so I took rapid test after 9weeks of possible exposure..but the test result came as negative..
I went to the dentiste yesterday and he examined my mouth and tongue and couldnt find anything out of the normal and he said that eating foods high in acid will do a number on your tongue but should start to heal in about a week. My question is my tongue definately feels better, but my mouth is still dry and i have a metallic taste. Is this a result of burning my taste buds, my mouth isnt as dry as it was a few days ago but its still uncomfortable. Does using mouth wash make it worse?
