std testing 5-6 weeks post encounter is enough time for gonorrhea, chlamydia, trich and syphilis. it was too early for testing for herpes, hiv and hepatitis. you have to wait at least 3 months post encounter for that testing to be accurate.

a half into my time i started biting my lip(I thought from dry lips) and as i was biting my lips this how it started, at first i was biting my lips and there where no bumps or sores on my bottom lip, I had bit it one day and it bled really good...it ended up scabbing up and turning black and i would repeatdely bite that one spot and sometimes it got bigger and bled most of the time as it was im assuming healing up..
My mouth was most likely not wide open. I have a small sore inside my mouth (right by my lips). My lips were also quite dry when she kissed me for a second. Is it possible for me to contract hiv if her lips were also quite dry and may be had blood on them. Also what if she licked her lips with her tongue before kissing me. What if the saliva when she licked her lips contained some blood from her mouth. Am at risk of hiv for this situation.
Your post is 8 years old but wanted to share my very similar experience. I went to talk to a physician for the same symptoms because it was getting annoying! Circular dry patch in one corner of the lips that spread over to another corner. I told the doctor that if I looked very closely in the mirror, I could see blisters in the circular dry patch that appeared first. He told me anytime blisters are visible, it's a cold sore. The dry patches are just a symptom.
ve developed an allergic reaction, some sort of infection, herpes or candidiasis, I really have no idea. I first noticed it due to dry lips yesterday, but it looks like it may have been at the back of my throat already?

Cause I have small bumps that appear on my top lip and itch sometimes but they never hurt or anything but they just dry up I guess you can say it does have a scab over it, it just goes away leaving dry skin.

I'm 19 this year. Just a days ago, i began experiencing discomfort on the middle area of the upper lip, to be exact its the pointy part. It used to be soft, but now it somehow feels as if it has thickened and hardened. Since then the middle part has been less sensitive than the other areas. Never experienced this before and neither do i have any health problems. I've experienced dry lips before but none were like this, particularly at the middle area of the upper lips.
I've recently been noticing some dry skin at the corner of one side of my lips and it's become crusty and brown and was previously itchy. For only about a week now my lips have become overly dry and I felt swelling in my lymph nodes and had a sore throat. The tiny bump i have forming on the insde of my upper lip does not look like any of the pictures of herpes that I have seen on the internet but the swelling throat and overly dry lips seem to be symptoms of herpes.
ve had dry mouth problems since. I have sticky lips and sometimes sore lips and tongue. I do sometimes have slight dry eyes but not always. I came off my anti depressants which didn't work but maybe I didn't give it long enough. I am now on a new one on a tiny dose with no change. I was on propecia nut stopped months ago. My GP gas run blood tests and taken a saliva test with no results.

t do anything, it remained dry and chapped and felt tight. It has progressively got worse, its not as red anymore but my lips (both upper and lower) now feel tight and dry. I apply lip balm throughout the day and at night. When I wake in the morning the upper lip is sometimes swollen. They get flakey skin also...I've never had this issue before and don't know what to do to sort it. I drink plenty of water and use lip balm very often, I can't think what this must be and how to fix it.

i had oral sex and heavy petting (both w/o condom) frm a sex worker. 5-6 wks after tat encounter, my tongue had this whitish coating on it especially at the inner tongue, the outer towards the tip had a milder whiteness(scrubed it off and no blood was undernath). i noticed tat the inner wall of my mouth had the whiteness too but wen i tried scrubbing it off, i couldnt.
My current symptoms are still tingling, muscle aches, and little bit of a sore throat feeling. I have not have any sores in or around my lips. I contacted my doctor and this is what he told me.
"Hello- yes, if no blisters by now would think not cold sore. What you may have is just a reaction to something now blooming and you can try taking an over the counter Benadryl at night before bed to see if helps. Thank you.
I have noticed that just inside the vagina before the lips the skin has discoloured and it is now white. No itching. Also between my vagina and rectum, closer to the vagina this has also discoloured to a pale pink/almost white, this part is itchy. Is there anything to worry about? Should I go to the GP. You assistance is appretiated.
All of a sudden last two days, I am experiencing dry lips mildly chapped. I know I spent significant time in the open air that could possibly be a culprit. I started applying burt bees ( 3 applications so far). The dryness is not completely going away. The lips are also becoming sticky after applying burt-bees. I am concerned if it could be a precondition for cold sore. Should I apply more burt bees (beewax natural lip balm) or would that make it worse.
