Avatar n tn I have this redish, dry skin above my eye and its somewhat itchy. Theres also a small bit of it by the corner of my eye, it kinda looks like a have a black eye; somewhat. Well compared to my other eye..anyway. Its been there a while about a month and a half? Long time I know but it started out small, just as a small patch in the middle and kinda "spread"? to all the skin above my eye.
Avatar f tn Any ladies have really bad dry skin? My face has been very dry and also my chest... What do you use to help it?
Avatar m tn s night moisturizer for dry skin and an eye moisturizer around my eyes. When I woke up, I had these incredibly deep under-eye wrinkles that just sprung up out of nowhere, wrinkles on my eyelids, they were very painful and even more dry than the day before. I put some vaseline on them to help moisturize them but it's only gotten worse. One eye is fine but still a bit sensitive, but the other eye is getting worse.
Avatar f tn I've noticed a big change the past few weeks. I'm breaking out like crazy!! And my sisters skin is so sensitive she can't wear makeup right now.
1592008 tn?1297118066 My skin is extremely dry. I can feel every facial expression I make on my face (smile, laugh, talk). My skin used to be oily and now it has shifted. I am only 26 and this has been happening for almost 2 years now. It was getting better and then I got a Vi peel (chemical peel) a month ago and the problem has intensified a hundred fold. My skin peeled and looked awesome and moist and then it just shifted all of a sudden to feeling extremely tight, dry, and flaky all over no matter what I do.
561949 tn?1236774115 It is an allergic condition that makes your skin dry and itchy. Eczema cannot be cured, but you can prevent some types of eczema by avoiding irritants, stress and the things you are allergic to. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar f tn They are very localized and will very suddenly start to itch uncontrollably. I have applied cortizone cream, but it only seem to dry out my skin. Is this happening to anyone else?
Avatar f tn I have tried gentle products, organics, different makeups, vitamins, red reducing chemical peels, and red reducing product lines. I do not have Rosacea, rashes, bumps, or dry skin. It just looks like normal skin but just red, like windburn or a sunburn. I eat a healthy diet as well. I just don't know what else to do. My husband even went to the extremes of buying a spray tan machine to help try to spray my neck to match my face a bit more.
Avatar f tn its ALWAYS red and if i put makeup on it builds up aruond the dry skin and looks yuck. I dont wear makeup anymore because of this and have no idea what causes it, i havent changed my diet in my whole life and am not allergic to anything to my knowledge. HEEELLLP!!
Avatar f tn I put a lot of the eczema therapy lotion on it and then 30 mins later I wiped it off and applied my makeup, when I applied my makeup I noticed that my skin above my upper lip looked dry and flaky once again. So I used my exfoliating wipes and got the flakyness off and took all my makeup off. I then applied a thin layer of my lotion and put my makeup on again but this time it made that little dry patch a slight orange color.
4368956 tn?1357406071 Me!!! I don't have the red dots from puking any more but the rest of it....my skin is dry, blotchy and I've been breaking out like I can't believe! Sometimes even my lotion burns :-( I'm goin to ask my doc abt it.
Avatar f tn ve looked through a bunch of these posts and have yet to find one that closely matches my problem. I know I have extremely sensitive skin as it is and it is dry BUT not too dry to where I have to put lotion on 24/7. In fact I am only starting to put lotion on everyday due to my "problem". Here we go...I have red, dry, itchy and painful spots all around my face. It has NEVER been this bad and I am embarrassed to go out in public.
Avatar f tn Well, as I noticed last time my skin broke out worse one year or so ago, my skin has started to become dry in spots. The same exact spots as one year ago too. I get dry flakiness just around my brow bone, right under my eyes I get thicker dry patches that look red, and on my neck I have itchy, splotchy and red patches that are dry as well. I just noticed that this happened last time my skin broke out worse too and that it was about one year ago, same time of year and all.
Avatar f tn Last December i noticed on my left eyelid there was a small patch of dry flaky skin. I thought that just because it was winter my skin was more dry. About a month or two later both my eyelids go very swollen, irritated and red, especially along my lash line. It was so bad i couldn't wear any makeup at all and i was constantly scratching and rubbing my eye lids all day. After a month I finally talked to my uncle who is a doctor and he prescribed 1% hydrocortisone cream.
Avatar f tn It does feel oily at first but once your foundation is on it no longer feels that way. I naturally have oily skin and I never wear any makeup without primer. ELF has my favorite kind.

770551 tn?1305578901 Mix EVOO, lemon juice and sugar into a paste and scrub. Good on any part of your body where you have dry dead skin. Try on your legs before shaving for a closer shave. (avoid eye areas). I now spend in a year the same amount as I used to spend in a month on Scrubs, Toners, Make Up Removers, Masks, Zit Treatment, Overnight Moisturizers, ETC.
1430704 tn?1306387507 Cleansing and exfoliating too much can cause breakouts as well. What about your makeup? Have you used any new makeup line that might not be suitable for your skin type? Try to think back to what you did when your skin was more balanced. My guess is that you've passed the puberty stage so it's probably something you've done differently in your routine. Simple is usually the best. Don't overload your skin with too many treatments or products.
Avatar f tn Nothing will totally make it go away, but I broke out pretty bad n found out that washing my face when I wake up in the mornings and before I go 2 sleep at night helps. After I wash my face I'll put on triple action astringent made by Biore and put on lotion that's okay 2 use on ur face. Between the washings tho use oil blotting sheets...they work wonders!!
Avatar n tn Hello, Thank you for your reply. I am currently taking Zyrtec, I don't wear makeup, I have been using Desonide cream or Cortizone cream, and I know I have eczema, but it was only on small areas. I have seen a Dermatologist and he concluded that I not wear makeup (which I don't), I'm allergic to Neomyacin (which I hardly ever use), and eye drops (which I almost never use either).
Avatar f tn So anyway a few weeks after a bout of impentigo I got some ingrown hairs that got stuck on the bright red scarred part of my lips, I exfoliated and removed the hairs but for the past couple of months almost right between my lip and nose I get a heavy patch of dry raised skin. I do exfoliate and it doesn't seem to help, it seems like the very next day the skin comes back.
Avatar f tn Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp under the nose or anywhere on face. Topical antifungals and mild steroids are the usual treatment and combination of the two can be used to treat stubborn patches. Oral antifungal drugs and immunomodulators such as tacrolimus and pimecrolimus are used in very severe cases. The other possibilities are of eczema, lupus erythematosus or dermatitis.
