I want to go to rehab but have no money or insurance. I detoxed off of methadone in April and wasn't able to afford rehab....... The 14 days in a Florida detox were the only two weeks of being "sober" I have experienced....... I am currently in full relapse mode, and desperately in need of rehab. How does one get into a good facility without any means of doing so? Are there any ways to get help?

My b/f was Baker Acted this evening for his drug addiction(in Florida.) His mother filed the paper work and all that jazz. What I would like to know is if they give you a drug test upon being admitted? He took a bunch of pills when he found out the police were going to make him go. I want the doctors to know everything so they can try adn help him. Any information will help, thanks!!!

I was in rehab for the first time in March. Was only there for 2 weeks because I found out I was pregnant about a week into treatment. They tested me when I got there but the results didn't come back until 7 days into treatment. I was already out of detox. So I chose to stay clean and not get back on anything. They wanted to put me back on methadone which is what they used to wean me off the oxy contin.

It's been a long time since I've posted on hear, I got messed up with some bad people and ended up living with a drug dealer. I'm almost 21 now and I never thought I would be in this situation...I've moved back home and tried to stay clean, I got to almost 3 months and just caved. I feel like I have failed my parents now, they want me to go to rehab to kick this habit but I can't see myself lasting there.

I am off the Opana ER now, and off the Suboxone, (which I had to detox AGAIN FROM). I have been a week after the last detox in a therapy rehab program in Florida. I live with my daughter of 8-years-old and my husband in GA. Prior to being away for this last 11 day detox and week of rehab. concealing process, i was away in March for 10 days for the Opana detox and two weeks of this counseing rehab program. I have been away for most of March and April facing my issues.

my stepson has been an addict for several years, we had no idea, he doesn't live with us and he's been on his own or living with friends, or staying with is mom in FLA for the last few years. Apparently his mom knew but chose not to tell us, so we've been giving him $$ over the course of the last few years to go towards helping him, and now we find out that was all a lie.

i agree you need to go to rehab....it wll help you in court. but, more than that you can come out of rehab clean and continue to stay that way. there is great support here but i agree na meetings are good too. good luck and keep us posted.

So it all started in 2006 with a back and neck injury. The doctor prescribed me 120 Norco 10/325's. That lasted about two years. I didn't ask him to bump me up but he did so, I was taking 90 oxycodone 40's for a few months. I moved to Florida at the end of 2007 and found a doctor, brought my records, etc. Within a year he had me on 120 OC 80's and 240 oxycodone 30 msg. Life was good, right?

WOW 6 80s a day thats quite a habit...I dont understand if you told them at the drug rehab you shooting them up there would be no question of abuse something dosent sound right here...well there are 2 avenues to take here if you still got a bunch left you could taper off some and get down to a lower dose then jump off and hang on the withdrawals are doable but no fun....plan 2 is just to jump off C/T and bit the bullet you will be sick for a week but you will not dye from it...

Going to multiple doctors for the purpose of being prescribed pain medication is illegal in Florida. But when you go to rehab you will more than likely be told that you can never take narcotic prescription pain medication again, and if you were to respond with "but I'll have to" then I think you'll be going around and around with the counselors and therapists. Does your surgeon know that you are an addict? His he the only physician who prescribes pain killers for you?

Thank you all for your support, unfortunately I failed to mention that my husban is an oxy addict also, his dose is way higher than mine. This is the first time I have actually admitted my addiction, it is very hard for me to do so. This entire thing started when we decided to go to a pain clinic in Florida to get oxi's to make some money. Trust me we did make money and alot of it, but we also got worse on the stuff. I knew it would happen and often I blame him for my drug use.

He was out for 1 hour and passed his drug test.He does not like rehab and to be honest i thought he would have left by now.But he is so determind to be drug free ,im proud of him as i always thought the worst would happen to James .He finds the meetins hard and to open up but i think that will come in time.Frank says its got to come from James and will eventually come. James will be 1 week clean tomorrow.And over the worst of physical w/dsHe still feels agitated when pushed.

So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.

I gave him the option to go to rehab or move out. I told him if he went to rehab, he could live for free. Since he basically hit rock bottom that morning, he put himmself into an outpatient rehabilitation program. The program was m-f and he went everyday. He passed his drug tests and the progress was amazing. He was a different person. His girlfriend, myself, and my father stood strong by his side. Just Friday night he dove head first into relapse. He hasn't slept since Friday morning.

I am going crazy i just cant stand to be using anymore but am at a loss as to how i am ever going to do this on my own. I really think i need rehab,detox something of that sort. i live i a small town and dont think we have anything of that sort in our area.

i just moved to florida so now i have to wait to get insurance and also find a doctor. But i do thank you soooo much for your advice. I will go through regardless of what that doctor said. It would be great if you lived in Florida so you could recommend me to a good neurosurgeon.

Hey y'all, I am actually on the plane now off to rehab!!!! I am so scared of detox and leaving my family, but i know deep down inside, this is the right thing to do. I can only pray that i will get through this and come out stronger than ever and continue to seek therapy. This really has been a long dark road for me and i am ready to take charge of my life, i am going into rehab with an open mind and i am going to fight this demon with everything i got in me, and i will WIN!!!!

see now is this a week of detox or rehab rehab I would say go because they give intensive addiction recovery help ...
