Sub is not a wonder drug it can be a positive tool towards recovery but without recovery care like counseling or aa/na if can easily become a replacement for your DOC ...When you put the two together then it can be very effective tool towards recovery .What were you taking and how much of it ..

Im not sure where u live but just Google counseling services or something like that. We pay $75 an hr but i know there are some places that accept insurance and most are based off your income. Good luck. It is definitely worth it.

I should mention that I have had a few muscle relaxers that were prescribed to when I hurt my back it took them for a week then that was enough and never looked back no pun intended! and I've had a drink from time to time but I never have had a issue with alcohol I've never really like alcohol I like drugs not alcohol ... Is today considered my 1 year Anniversary? Pain killers are my drug of choice and I haven't had any for a year today! Please someone help me sort this out!

If ur husband has not sought treatment nor apologized to u for threatening ur life then sadly to say...and i realize this is difficult...u did the right thing to protect ur life and leave the situation.Any children in the home witness to all of this?how did this affect them if so?

that is why i asked you about getting after care to help with your recovery and asked about church services. so you can be strengthened to fight this addiction. i believe it is spiritual bondage. what is your religion? i will continue to pray for you. i speak peace to your heart,mind,soul and body.

I cant remember how long ago he had his last dose but i would think that he will still be able to access support from ARMS( Auckland Regional Methadone Services) and CADS( Community Alcohol and Drug Services).Both are very good and free. I know when i finally got off the methadone, ARMS still kept me in their books for another 6months and provided help in the form of counciling and advocacy.

THEN after all that pointless wasted time I was done and she went to set me up an appointment. All of a sudden this lady from Social Services comes in askin me all these questions. Then, she asked about the dad. I'm 17. I was 16 when I got pregnant. My husband is 22. This lady was like.. I'm gonna have to file a police report! Uhm excuse me I have every right to have sex with my own husband. And according to my due date.. the conception date is Aug 24! We married July 18!

I second that, I would definately go tomorrow and see what I could do about rehab. It will look better on your part if you show that you are trying to change. I hope and pray you let this be a wake up call to you and you take full advantage of any counseling services you can because this is just a taste of what can happen to you if you don't get your life in order.

Most of the time aftercare is a a place you go to for addiction counseling like hospitals or rehab centers with drug counselers on hand to listen to you. A lot of recovering drug addicts that try church say they dont get what they need in church. And some are right they need to be with other addicts who go to meetings to talk about there troubles. One addict can best understand another. What ever works for you if its church then do it. Hang in there.

i am 6days on suboxen and i believe it has helped me so much,the suboxen pretty much stop the physical withdrawls,BUT you have to still be ready to stop because the emotional andmental stuff you go through normally when you go c/t you still feel while on the suboxens,and also you want to make sure you have a plan set up for when you are ready to come off the subs because you dont want to become addicted to them too,and make sure you do meetings!!!

I was diagnosed with an addictive personality as well as a dual diagnosis (depression and drug addiction). I used meth and Loracets daily for 6 years. These 2 demons turned out to be my drug's of choice after trying most everything out there. Financially it was killing me and destroying my family life. I'm not sure why, because my husband is the best, that I had an affair with someone 15 yrs younger than I am. This went on for 6 months.

I am going to emurse myself into this 100% EVERYDAY will have some recovery help of some sort. Either NA, counseling, group therapy, family skills workshop(which is free to anyone who is a patient to their business).. So I am going to be OK.. It is just going to take some very rough work and time..

Being pregnant and having a 18 month old I feel I am protective of my children and would sacrifice my life for them. I don't know how a mother could feel any different but unconditionally love there children and It angers me that I have a neighbor who is also pregnant and living with her boyfriend, mother and is using drugs with them.

Also, if there is a known history of drug use with mom, or Child Services involvement with past children for this reason. They do not require your permission, but typically will let you know. I can also tell you that if mom is using drugs, it's pretty likely it's going to come out. It is always always in babies (and mom's) best interest to talk to her OB and be honest about it.

I am trying a recovery group called Smart Recovery. I emailed someone and told them my issues with NA and having trouble getting past the word powerless. They said they have two meetings a week and I would be a good fit. Have nothing to lose but an hour and a half.

Why are you on suboxone in the first place? Do you go to 12 step meetings or work a recovery program, counseling, group talk therapy, church, anything that helps you deal with why you use subs? How much do you take a day?
