Avatar m tn Hey Mike, you're right, not all are fortunate enough to get to a treatment center. It's unfortunate that they are not more accessible to everyone, but I can tell you that you don't need treatment to get through detox, and involve yourself in a 12 step program. 1255505 tn?1272819115 Everyone says I am a patient and kind person and i usually just keep my mouth shut about things. Sometimes i wonder if it really is a bipolar issue like everyone says it is. I mean really who nowadays thinks logically.
Avatar f tn I know he is not abusing the Vyvanse, but can the Vyvanse be increasing his want of the alcohol and the coke? Avatar f tn I have way more of a problem with alcohol than weed, it least from a societal perspective. You are correct, weed is a psychoactive drug, but so is alcohol; people tend to forget that. In the U.S. the rats of crime related to alcohol is astounding; particularly violent crime and traffic issues. IMO, I feel that both are just as damaging to a population; but people that abuse alcohol tend to be far more violent and erratic, at least from what has been studied in the U.S.

However, I plan to never drink again. Why? Because the brain has no way to differentiate between the chemicals that I use to alter my mood.
