5864500 tn?1380889597 put me on a drug called Benicar for my blood pressure. Not only did it help my blood pressure, but it gave me sort of a high feeling which I thought was weird, so I looked it up and the drug is good for people with migraines and for people with stress in addition to lowering your blood pressure. You CAN live without alcohol. But I'm concerned about your headaches. You need to at least check your blood pressure the next time that you are in a drug store or Wal Mart.
Avatar m tn Addiction is categorzied by maladaptive behavior that is typically out of character for the person, including doing things that are harmful, without any regard for the consequences, in order to get the drug. Addiction includes mental cravings for the meds, where dependency is almost always just physical in nature. It's important for you to determine which category you would fit into, if indeed this is even a concern for you.
Avatar n tn It was given out like aspirin. It is very unfortunate that it became a schedule one drug, with the drug enforcement administration tracking down phjysicians who prescribe it. Valium does degrade situational awareness as well as intellectual acuity, and may interfere with driving safety, although that is more of a problem for the first time user. I have used it (prescribed by a physician) rarely, when under extreme stress, and then only for a day or two, and never became addicted.

1087638 tn?1256625882 I do not know your drug but I know addiction. It sometimes takes many tries and the single hardest thing is staying off the drug. (That's why it is called an addiction). Think about how you started using again. What was the situation; what do you think caused it? Rehab centers sometimes need to be repeated. Did you have aftercare, groups? Therapy? after treatment? Was your situation intolerable without drugs. Are you in chronic pain? Start over. New start!
