572651 tn?1530999357 There are so many drug assistance programs out there for us in the US who are not on medicare/medicaid or live in Massachussetts. I'm thinking it might be helpful to start a thread of some of these so everyone is taking full advantage of the drug companies' generosity. Ok, you know I'm being facetious with that comment - they want us to take their drug and are bribing us to do so by helping with the copay.
Avatar n tn First and foremost you and your sister are victims of his addiction. Unless your brother wants help, there is nothing you can do. He is an adult and if you get him to rehab he can leave at anytime.. You need to talk to his dr because with epilepsy I would think w/d could be dangerous. His dr can help him with monitoring his tapering and with the w/d. but all depends on him, does he want help? is he willing to fight the fight? keep us posted. prayers for you and your family.

Avatar m tn If my wife had given me free room and board, let me be as mean to her as I wanted, and there were no consequences to my drug abuse, I would be dead today. You can ask around here, I am not a bad person or of low moral character, I am an addict. When people say you are enabling your man, it means you are part of his problem. He may blame you, and he may be partially right, because he wouldn't be able to afford as many drugs or have good enough health to get as high as he does without you.
Avatar f tn I want to know how to help drug abusers through a website? for example SO has addicted morphine after asurgery and is ashamed to go to a dr what to do ?
11055444 tn?1414944590 invega is an antipsychotic for schizophrenia. Do you have that? And you really can't just up and quit these meds, especially Xanax -- they can have a wallop of a withdrawal. You have to stop them slowly. You say you have PTSD -- were you in the military? I ask because most drug companies have programs to help people who can't afford medication, and veterans are better treated than others in this regard.
